People who long for a supreme leader are often weak and afraid. Russian had the opportunity to embrace freedom, which comes with the risk of failure. They chose to embrace a dictator with assurances of a modicum of security.
Notice how often the RWNJs used to quote Ben Franklin's "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
That quote hasn't been used by the RW since 2016 for obvious reasons; the RW has embraced temporary safety in the form of White Supremacist authoritarianism and they've forsaken the riskier American ideal of "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness".
Notice on the gay marriage thread how many RWers are supporting unalienable rights. LOL
Notice that the majority of Insurrectionists have both mental and financial issues. Notice that most RWNJs on JPP live in fear and regularly engage in fearmongering. All of these are indicators of weak, stupid and/or mentally ill people.
