Oh I know that. That's not why I laughed.

Two reasons:

1. Elon "says" so we have to take his words for it.
2. A massive surge in a short period of time can only mean bots and assets.

Yep, that's what Elon should be boasting about: New sponsors. But he can't. Why? They're all fleeing like rats from Elon's sinking ship.

I've been "deep diving" into some of the recent financial scandals, like the FTX cryptocurrency disaster. One of the problems is that FTX assigned a value to their currency based on absolutely nothing. They found a basement floor online audit firm that didn't look to hard at them and lost a bunch of people a ton of money - billions!

Elon can say he has a million new account signups tomorrow. It doesn't have to be true. CEO's misstating their assets happens all the time. Since Twitter is privately held now, there is no oversight. Elon can say anything about Twitter's performance - they're just words.
