Florida's economy is in large part tourism. They nail the snowbirds same as SC does.
Gas taxes, meal taxes, motel room taxes... the list goes on and on.
Gas is much cheaper in South Carolina, Floridians suffer from high gas prices!
Its a little worse due to location but also while SC has Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, half the state is a tourist destination in the Sunshine State. Everything is expensive in FLA.
