Will Kevin McCarthy become Speaker? Should he?

The radical element in the Republican Party which will take over in January thinks "maybe not".

I'm thinking McCarthy will, indeed, become Speaker, but he'll have to sell his soul to the Wackadoodle Caucus to do it. Kevin has already proved he'll do anything to advance his career, no matter how demeaning or dishonorable.

If the MAGAs take the house, their margin will be so thin that Kevin will need every vote every time a proposal comes up. He'll have no "bully gavel", rather, they will bully him.

I do not know, but he has been pretty useless up till now and there is no indication that this will change.

While Trump still has a 40% favorability rating, that doesn't mean that many people believe he is God. Just that he's more favorable than a Democrat.

As Althea is proving to me today, Democrats are just as authoritarian and bullying as the RWNJs.
