Before Biden spins the jobs numbers?

Yes, 'new' jobs in the Establishment SURVEY (which is NOTHING to do with the unemployment rate/U-3) are up by 261,000.

But, the unemployment rate jumped from 3.5% to 3.7%.
And the Employment–Population Ratio is down (down is bad).
Plus, the Household Survey (which is what the U-3 is based on) shows that 328,000 LESS people were employed in October.

Yet another example of how the Establishment Survey is garbage.

The bottom line is: last month was negative for employment in America.

Once again, I DESPISE both parties.

Always crack anyone up how when positive economic news is released some winger will import an indicator they say refutes the news

Not ironic how for the eight years of the Obama Administration as unemployment slowly decreased all we heard from the right was it was lies cause the labor participation rate was high, and then, we Trump arrived, labor participation concerns vanished, all was good. We’re seeing the same here

No economic indicator by itself is absolute, nor attempts to discredit one indicator, it is the total picture that counts, and when you look at these reports it is noteworthy that even though interest rates have increased unemployment hasn’t, which is unusual and points to something good happening

So...a 0.2% rise in the U-3?
A decrease in total employed persons by 328,000 (in the Household Survey)?
And a reduction of the Employment-Population Ratio by 0.1%?

These constitute 'positive economic news' to you?
Yes or no, please?

And - once again - I have ZERO, political loyalties.
I despise, both major parties.

Presidents are sitting ducks- all of them. Good things happen on their watch, and bad things happen on their watch.

Unfortunately, a lot of the things that do happen on their watch, happens and those in power are going to get credit for the good things that just naturally happen, and the same goes for things that happen when negative things happen beyond their control- THEY GET THE BLAME FOR IT!

In this case, Trump's last year in office was mired with lay-offs and restaurants and other businesses going out of business- DIRECTLY CAUSED BY THE SHUTDOWN- NOT HIS FAULT!

And in Biden's case, during his first year in office, and while the nation was recovering from the Pandemic, naturally PEOPLE WENT BACK TO WORK- and so the new-hirings and New Jobs and employment numbers skyrocket faster than they have ever risen during any presidency before. NOT REALLY BECAUSE BIDEN MAGICALLY MADE THAT HAPPEN.

But if we are going to blame things on president's for things that happen beyond their control, we must give them credit for the good things that happen on their watch as well!

Trust me- it all evens out in the end.

Other wise we are all just pissing into an electric fan and getting ourselves all wet TO PLAY POLITICAL SPORTS!

Let's try to be better sports about this OK?

Pretty flat. Those numbers have bounced around a tenth of a percentage point or so, for months.

ROTFLMFAO!!! You just linked to zerohedge.

You are dismissed from any further economic discussions. That Tyler Durdin is quite the prolific writer.

:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

It is not necessary a good thing to have good jobs numbers at this point. The fed is trying to drive down those numbers to cool off inflation.

Actually, this number is ideal. Job growth has slowed. There is a much greater potential for a soft landing at this point. The labor participation rate is not terribly meaningful, it has changed little since a large drop as boomers began to retire. The OP is about 10% as smart as he thinks he is.

Every time you try and fake your way through any economics, you fall flat on your face. Typical lying, dumbass democrat.

its good you've finally acknowledged that Biden has fucked up the country with his policies......however the real solution isn't that everyone lose their jobs......just Biden.........

It has nothing much to do with Joe Biden, it has to do with the excessive pumping of money into the economy over the 12 years before Biden.

Very little of anything Biden has accomplished has had time to be enacted much less affect the economy.
