Top Democrats Question Their Party’s Strategy as Midterm Worries Grow

Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont has sounded alarm bells that Democrats are struggling to motivate working-class voters. Former President Barack Obama, who is traveling the country to campaign in some of the tightest races for Senate and governor, urged Democrats not to be “a buzz kill” by making people feel as if they were “walking on eggshells” when it came to issues like race and gender.

And several prominent Democrats have worried that their party has not fully acknowledged the pain of rising prices — or effectively pointed the finger at Republicans over the higher costs.

Are Democrats really this stupid? "Trump organized a violent coup on Jan. 6. The GOP supports him." That is all the Democrats should be saying.

Yes, Democrats really are that stupid.

Issues that apparently matter to Democrats and the Left:

Abortion
Getting Trump convicted on something (aka Jan 6)
Greentard stuff
Retaining power

Issues that apparently matter to the other 80% of the population:

The economy and inflation
Energy prices
Open borders and illegal immigration
Supply chain shortages
Keeping the lights on versus playing at saving the planet

The Democrats don't get it. As James Carville, strategist for Bill Clinton put it succinctly, "It's the economy stupid!" Yes, the Democrats are stupid.

Good, you finally admit Trump organized a coup.

See my amended post above. You, a Democrat are stupid. The above was second on my list of things the Democrats think are important issues. It isn't on my list of what people like ME think is important as an issue.

I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT FUCKING TRUMP OR JAN 6 AS AN ISSUE! I am not voting on those two things. Trump isn't running for an office, and I don't buy for a New York second that Jan 6 was anything more than a three-hour fucking riot that accomplished nothing. In fact, the Left and Democrats who prattle on about either just annoy the hell out of me and give me ANOTHER reason NOT TO VOTE FOR THEM!

Bernie is not a Democrat. I couldn’t access the article, who are the prominent Dems?

I get that it's not a big issue for voters - today.

But the election denialism that led to 1/6 is going to be an extremely big issue, and soon.

No, it won't. In a week many of the worst yellers and screamers about it in Congress will be unemployed. The rest will have to STFU because they'll no longer be in charge of anything and have no power to do anything on the subject. It will disappear as an issue nearly completely until resurrected in 2024 to be used by the Left against Trump--assuming he runs for President again.

That's simply incorrect. There are literally hundreds of candidates who are election deniers, and many of them are slated to win. Kari Lake is the biggest rising star all of a sudden, and she's just like Trump in that regard.

You can't wish that problem away. If you have enough people in authority constantly telling voters that an election was stolen from them - it's a recipe for disaster.

Disagree with that, if Trump runs, and there is no reason that he won’t, it will become a major issue in the election, and if any Republican is finally brave enough to tell the truth, it could be a primary issue

The inflation is world wide

We have a lower rate than most the world due to Democratic Party efforts

blame the anti democracy people like Putin trying to steal land from another nation

For causing world economic imbalance with war

BTW republicans are saying right out loud they want to gut SS and Medicare

And that they hate elections unless their team wins

Nuff said

That should be the message

And if you don’t win power what will your shuffle be tiny dancer?

They aren't Trump! They are running on their own merits or detriments. Lake has demonstrated in several pressers that she isn't an "election denier" and has absolutely shut the press down trying to make her into one.

Hobbs is a proven racist, and the state had to cough up $2.75 million because she fired a Black staffer for openly racist reasons the courts ruled.

After a $2.75 million jury verdict, Katie Hobbs needs to explain her role in the firing of Talonya Adams
https://news.yahoo.com/2-75-million-jury-verdict-192612639.html

Few in Arizona are voting for one or the other on those reasons alone. Most people here see Hobbs as a spineless, rudderless hack politician that would make Janet Napolitano look good (our last Progressive Democrat governor who fucked the state up massively while in office).

Whine all you like about Lake, but she's almost a certainty to Arizona's next governor.

Early voting has been huge

It’s mostly Dems

That is why your party worked so hard to end as much of it as you could remember

When elections have big turn out republicans lose

It’s why you want fewer voters voting

I'm pretty sure that Republicans don't realize how dangerous the election denial stuff is at this point. It's been like some fun game w/ them - pillow guy stuff. "The Kraken."

They've done their work well. We'll have to see how long a republic can survive when millions think elections are rigged.

That's in 2024. It isn't a reason in 2022...

I stopped reading after the 1st line.

Lake is a MASSIVE election denier. What are you even talking about? It's absolutely a huge part of her campaign, and she has stated many times that she thinks 2020 was rigged.

Give me a break. Pay attention to reality.
