I would disagree but we’ve known one another long enough to know that. There was a time when a person could be for fair taxation (what my republican friends could likely call “robbing the rich”), public funded support for schools and infrastructure, for the provision of a safety net for the less fortunate and even public works programs (without which many of my family would not have survived the 20’s and 30’s) where a person could work on public projects and be paid for it (as opposed to the government mailing them a check to continue sitting on their rear), among other democratic planks, and not have to walk lock-step with the abortionist, gun control advocate and now the WOKE-ists who are now castigating Troy Aikman on social media over a great point he made … even as we speak.

So I will register as a republican, not because I agree with everything they say (hardly), but their tent is getting bigger while the democratic tent seems to be shrinking. I will say that I would rather register as an independent but that would forfeit my right to vote in any election in Oklahoma for the most part except the elections in November.
