Blustering and bluffing is all Putin has left. His conventional military has been decimated and has shown itself to be utterly inferior to NATO.

Iraq's population did not express any desire to become American. The populations of the new Russian territories have been trying to become Russian for the past eight years at least- since the US -led coup disenfranchised them.
