Lawyers representing the migrants shared a brochure that they say Florida officials gave the migrants before they left Texas. The leaflet mentioned housing assistance, cash assistance, and other support.

DeSantis' office confirmed the brochure's authenticity, which is about benefits available to refugees. (The Venezuelan migrants are not refugees under immigration law.)

They applied for asylum and were in this country legally until their hearings. That is simple fact regardless of whether or not you care to believe it, and, of course it gained attention in the news, since when has a republican governor lied to 50 immigrants and flew them a couple thousand miles north with no forewarning to where they were going?

This “own the libs” component is unfolding in a land of right-wing make-believe. In such media precincts you hear again and again and again that liberals are enraged because migrants were introduced into their strongholds and liberals don’t want them around, exposing their hypocrisy. What angered liberals was the deliberate dehumanization of migrants, not the burdens their arrival created for local governments. Yet right-wing figures simply keep repeating their fantastical version of liberal rage.

I think most liberals would like nothing more than to see DeSantis do it again. Rational Americans know it is nothing but a disgusting ploy by a republican that will drive countless numbers of independents (and Hispanics) away from ever voting for one of the assholes. The giggling right-wing dumbshits such as yourself only get one vote so DeSantis is gaining nothing by his actions. Now he faces being sued for illegally using taxpayer dollars as well as a class action criminal lawsuit by the immigrants who most certainly have a case. Not to mention he already paid another million to the company that flew them north to do it again in Delaware but he has since canceled this venture, he knows he fucked up royally.

We have an unemployment rate below 3% that is considered FULLY employed and our population is dropping not growing, we could use a few million people willing to work and export all the fucking lazy ass right-wingers OUT of the country. The fact is the areas most reliant on welfare are southern red states. The county with the highest percent of welfare recipients in this country is in Kentucky where over 60% are on welfare, they are like 98% white and the county voted for Trump by like over 70%. Fact is they are now in this country legally awaiting their asylum hearings. They are NOT illegals and that is precisely what the Florida law says they must be to use the funds DeSantis did to send them north. You keep arguing a fucking worthless point. That is not to mention the law says they must be in Florida and they were in Texas until DeSantis used taxpayer dollars to fly them from Texas to Florida.
