Putin warns NUCLEAR WAR is definitely coming

In a seven-minute nationally televised address, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the West that a nuclear war is “definitely coming,”

No, he didn't say that. What he DID say was that he would defend Russian territory with everything at his disposal. That, in itself, is not a deviation from Russia's previous position- nor America's.

The difference here is that Russia will annex all the territory which proclaims itself Russian in the currently ongoing referenda. Such territory would become Russian territory and would be so defended.

No, I don't believe he's bluffing either. He will nuke any forces which attempt to invade Russian territory- if his other , unused, weaponry fails to dissuade.

Wow, pretty interesting stuff there, Tiger. You think of that on your last 747 Max flight?

No one's going to use nukes unless they're willing to destroy the world. I don't think Putin's that stupid.

Russians would assasinate Putin rather than "push the button". No one would obey a command to destroy the world as we know it.

Look at all the Russian's skipping town, now. Europe now has a crisis at its Easter border of Russians trying to evade the Russian draft!

Yes, it’s a bluff, unless it’s his last act before dying!

You'd be going with him, unfortunately. Me too. That's why I'm anti-war. It's a sort of self-preservation feature that dumbasses don't have.

You can't STILL be hanging around the forum, surely ? NOBODY could announce themselves as being that uninformed and still survive ! Nobody with an ounce of self-respect anyway.

How about next Wednesday for the end of the world. All NATO has to do is to invade Russian territory. Let's hope that its leadership is not as deaf as it was last February.

Thats what Israel did during the 6 day war

No, Israel occupied territories but cannot annex them

“Annexation” is acquiring territory by force and is a flagrant violation of international law. As such it can have no effect on the legal status of the territory, which remains de jure occupied. In the context of the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT), “annexation” means extending Israeli law to areas which are recognized as occupied and treating them as part of the territory of Israel.

The Russian case is different in that the population of , say, Crimea, voted to become Russian.
No Palestinian is ever going to vote to become Israeli.

Crimea is a Nation 'sovereign' state..Palestinian is not!

The United Nations recognizes the Palestinian territories according to Resolution 181 and 138 countries recognize the Palestinian state on the pre-1967 borders. The UN also recognizes Palestinian statehood.

Because the US doesn't does not mean that it doesn't exist. It just means that Tel Aviv has Washington by the balls.

In the interests of clarity- Crimea was an autonomous republic- and recognized as such by Ukraine. This autonomous republic voted- almost unanimously- to become part of Russia- again.

That seems like a legal transference of power to me- but I don't know of any precedent in international law that would legitimize it in the eyes of those who would like Russia to be weaker.
