The problem came pretty early in the process, BP.

13 suddenly independent colonies merged into one nation even though about half were totally incompatible with the other half.
How we've lasted as long as we did is a miracle, but not necessarily a good one.

Huge segments of our population viscerally hate each other and it will NEVER stop in our current configuration.

If blue states and red states weren't trying to force one another's laws, tax codes, and moral values on each other, we'd get along MUCH BETTER
as neighbors from different countries.

For the most part, the Democrats was a progressive government...as any reasonable, intelligent person does.

They do not want a government with "absolute power"...that is just a fiction fostered by the morons of the right.
