My middle daughter and my youngest daughter's husband are among those who "worked hard to pay off" their student loans. Middle daughter's husband still owes for his BS in mathematics and youngest daughter still owes for her masters in special education. They are delighted to be getting a break and not in the least resentful that they personally did not get one because they had satisfied their debts already. The forgiveness will mean both households will have a few hundred dollars more to save or spend. Good for their families, good for America too. Our economy runs on spending, did you know that?
