Car bomb kills daughter of 'spiritual guide' to Putin's Ukraine invasion

And of course there was no Russian interference in the 2016 election, oh no.

The Mueller Report proves interference but not collusion. I trust the report.

Like with other politicians pulling shenanigans, there were odd occurrences, but not enough evidence for trial.

True. Or it could have also been business-related, someone pissed at him (or her) for a deal gone wrong. Car bombings always make me think of mafia.

It's a good weapon for a guerrilla. The problem is discrimination; making sure the right person is next to the detonation.

The old way was to just strap dynamite near the driver and wrap standard fuse around the exhaust manifold, then hope they hop on the Interstate. Nowadays, it's easy to rig a remote detonator.

IMHO, the bombers knew who was in the car and detonated it at an opportune moment. Sure, they probably wished the old man was in with his Nazi daughter, but that's the luck of the draw. LOL

I have to admit, I never heard of Alexander Dugin, he reminds me of Grigori Rasputin, the Czar had Rasputin and Putin has Dugin?!!

Rasputin

I must say, the resemblance is striking! As is the one between Trudeau and Castro.

Poor woman. Too bad they didn't get Dugin instead.

Maybe there's some internal dissension going on there, eh?

Poor woman!! She was almost as obnoxious as her father.

Car bombs used to be a fixture of gangland feuds in 1990s Russia but have since fallen out of fashion. This makes it all the more striking when, as happened on Saturday night, such a device rips through a car just outside Moscow, killing Darya Dugina, daughter of the controversial nationalist ideologue Alexander Dugin.

She was a prominent figure in her own right, a journalist working for an outfit Washington says is owned by Russian businessman Evgeny Prigozhin – under sanctions in the West for being the godfather of both the Wagner mercenary group and the infamous social media ‘troll farms’ – who had been a cheerleader for the war in Ukraine. Indeed, she was under sanctions, with the UK government describing her as a ‘frequent and high-profile contributor of disinformation in relation to Ukraine and the Russian invasion of Ukraine’.

Inevitably there is a widespread assumption that the real target was her father. The car was said to have been his, although other accounts say it was registered in her name. Either way, he would have been in it had he not at the last moment chosen to return home another way. No one has yet claimed responsibility, but in the charged political environment of the moment, everyone is blaming their favourite villain.

Already, Russian commentators are blaming Kyiv, without explaining either why either Dugin would be their target of choice – there are much more rabid and influential commentators on Ukraine – or how they managed to pull off an attack in the very heart of the Russian security state. Likewise, others assume this was a Kremlin hit, either because they wanted to make Dugin a symbolic martyr or else because they feared ultra-nationalists like him would stir up protest were Russia to step back from its war in Ukraine. Finally, there are the inevitable suggestions that this was actually a contract killing driven not by politics but by business disputes. Dugin is, after all, a phenomenally productive writer – never mind the quality – and an energetic self-promoter.

In the link Alexander Dugin praised trump as thinking just like Putin

He said that Putin provided inspiration for Trump, "a kind of example to challenge the status quo, to challenge the conventional wisdom, challenge all this totalitarian principles of globalists and ultra-liberals."

Sound familiar? If you want to challenge totalitarian principles, invade a neighboring country. Lol.

I have one of his books.

Not much quality there.

Russian authorities said Sunday they had opened a murder investigation after the daughter of influential, ultra-nationalist philosopher Alexander Dugin was killed by a car bomb on the outskirts of Moscow.

Dugina's father is a Russian author and ideologue, credited with being the architect or "spiritual guide" to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He is purported to have significant influence over Russian President Vladimir Putin and was described as "Putin's Brain" by Foreign Affairs magazine.

The Daughter was a pro-Putin newscaster. I guess all those innocents in Ukraine are just collateral damage and we all should mourn that little rich bitch who was just killed?

No.

Too bad it didn't hit the real target. But at least now he'll have to live with his decision to get in another car every day, and know that his daughter's blood is firmly on his hands.

He should name his new car after his blown-up daughter and call it, "The SS Ka-bloo-ee".

Kremlin is blaming it on Ukraine

I don't see how this risky assassination attempt gives any significant military or psychological benefit to Ukraine.

Its possible that internal Russian opposition groups were involved.

That is true. We don't know how really responsible.

One of Russia's looniest far-right ideologues endorses Donald Trump

Mar 1, 2016 — Aleksandr Dugin, a far-right Russian academic and spinner of bizarre ideological treatises, has endorsed Donald Trump.

Wouldn't it be tragic if like one of her ears ended up in his coat pocket? I mean he was pretty close to the blast. He'll be looking for change for the buski one day and he'll pull out her ear and scream, "On no! Darya!!"

That would be whoreable.

CNN's Clarissa Ward interviewed Alexander Dugin an influential Russian philosopher and Putin ally in 2017, shortly after former President Trump took office. Dugin says he was a supporter of President Trump's nationalist philosophy and predicted that Putin and Trump would forge a new world order.

Sounds oddly familiar to the feelings of those who supported Hitler in the 1930's.. and those who support trump, now.

Yes, she was a fascist just like her father.

Though it seems morally ambiguous whether that merits a death sentence. AFAIK she did not have direct access to or influence over Putin's decision making process.

All the innocent people Putin's slaughtered in Ukraine don't deserve a death sentence either.

You're a sick prick. Manservant. But that can't be news to a throwback like you.

Aww... it's so nice to be noticed!

Not by an ignorant, rage-filled, Nazi prick like you, but by most other people it is.

Good morning, douche.
