You are confusing "historic lows" with "historically low". Historic lows would be the lowest in history. Historically low would be in the lower half of historic averages.
Clearly the current mortgage rates are still historically low. That indicates that the markets are betting that inflation will not be a long term problem. That is far better than what the alt right is claiming, but noticeably worse than when Obama was President, and the markets did not even think inflation could be a problem.

Right now, we have too many jobs, and not enough people to do them. There are higher paid jobs that are disappearing, because lower paid jobs cannot be filled.
We can debate whether that is good or bad... But it is what is happening. The problem is that Republicans are making up a fake reality where we are being overwhelmed by illegal immigrants.
Clearly what we need is more legal immigration.
There are a lot of retired people on this forum that would disagree with you. They think their retirement is a good thing.
