Indictments Coming for Trump and His Aides

In an alternate universe, Trump has already been press-ganged by the younger and stronger inmates into cleaning their toilets and making their beds.

Why the Hell can you people - on both sides - not wait for legal proceedings to finish before you declare truth or innocence?

It seems almost all Americans - on both sides - just watch the MSM of their choice and make bold declarations about things.
Simply because someone on 'their side' claims this or that.

Most Americans are either staggeringly gullible/naive.
Bored out of their skulls and trying to stir up shit.
Or a combination thereof.

I have said it before.
The problem with America is NOT the politicians.
It is the voters.

Trump is guilty. He's a pedophile and a traitor. That said, I agree it's best to wait for more facts.

Agreed about the voters taking responsibility for their actions. Notice how none of the Trumpers are doing so. They lie constantly to defend their demagogue.

In a week it's gone from not a chance to probable, if Garland has the spine for it. He's shown us he has.

Well, no, Marty.

It appears that the documents were de-classified.

No gotcha this time, just an attempt by the loons at the J/D to use the awesome power of government to attack a potential political opponent by a raid at the home of a previous president of the US.

Never happened before and after this debacle, hopefully, it will never happen again...Marty.

Only in your mind, only in your make believe, only in your never ending bullshit, were these documents declassified.

No gotcha.

What would you expect trump to say? Would you ever expect the truth? Some of these documents would have to go through a long and detailed process to ever attempt to declassify them.
Again, I ask, why did he not return the to the government.

WEll, no.

Once de-classified, anyone, even a slug like you, can read them.

No classified material kills the case of the J/D to attack a previous president of the US...at his home residence.

Ah, of course - you got the "de-classified" talking points.

There is a protocol - and docs would be labeled that way if they were. Trump has everyone thinking he can just say "These are declassified!", and it makes it true.

Sorry, boys, the far left, radical Democrat Socialists have, once again, messed in their mess gear.

They have enraged, rightfully so, the Republicans and other Americans, against this naked aggression using the awesome power of government against a potential political rival...at his private residence.

Big turnout this Nov. by the Reds.

Too bad that the law doesn't require the document be classified for it to be a crime. In fact the 3 crimes listed in the search warrant don't require a classified document for a crime to occur.

Whoever knowingly alters, destroys, mutilates, conceals, covers up, falsifies, or makes a false entry in any record, document, or tangible object with the intent to impede, obstruct, or influence the investigation or proper administration of any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency of the United States or any case filed under title 11, or in relation to or contemplation of any such matter or case, shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.
By failing to turn over the documents when subpoenaed, Trump attempted to conceal them. There is no requirement that the documents be classified.

(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.
Trump took documents that were supposed to be given to the National Archives. That would mean he removed them and then by not turning them over under subpoena he concealed them. There is no requirement that the documents be classified.

(d) Whoever, lawfully having possession of, access to, control over, or being entrusted with any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, or note relating to the national defense, or information relating to the national defense which information the possessor has reason to believe could be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation, willfully communicates, delivers, transmits or causes to be communicated, delivered, or transmitted or attempts to communicate, deliver, transmit or cause to be communicated, delivered or transmitted the same to any person not entitled to receive it, or willfully retains the same and fails to deliver it on demand to the officer or employee of the United States entitled to receive it; or

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

So Trump could legally have the document, (not likely since the Presidential records act says he can't) but if he showed it to anyone not authorized to see it he committed a felony.

The FBI requested surveillance video from when Kash Patel was at Mar-a-Lago. Kash claims to have seem some of those documents.
Trump also retained the documents and failed to turn them over to an employee of the United States, the National Archives, entitled to receive the documents. There is no requirement that the documents be classified for this to be a crime.

"What will the implications be for November’s midterms?

Even if federal agents find material evidence against Trump, it’s hard to envision the FBI raid not unleashing the full fury of MAGA voters. In terms of the elections, that could have two implications. The first relates to which Republican candidates make it through the primaries. Already, MAGA Republicans have had considerable success in securing their party’s nominations. In the remaining primaries, right-wing candidates will leverage what happened at Mar-a-Lago to further energize and build support among the conservative base. That’s likely to be effective because primary voters tend to lean more Trumpian. The consequences for the general election, by contrast, seem less clear. The worst-case scenario for Democrats, however, is that Republicans marshal the Mar-a-Lago raid to initiate a maelstrom of anti-Biden energy by making Trump a martyr. The more Republicans are told that the White House is corrupt and out to take down Trump, the greater strength of the backlash we can probably expect in the form of increased GOP turnout."

That's already been debunked but go ahead and embrace that little piece of bullshit if it helps you sleep at night.
Trump is fucked and there's nothing you or other MAGA morons can do about it.
