A breakthrough deal to unblock Ukraine grain shipments is on a knife-edge following missile strikes on a key Ukrainian port Saturday.

Odesa Port was hit by alleged Russian missiles yesterday morning - just hours after Kyiv and Moscow signed an agreement to allow wheat and maize exports from Ukraine.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of "barbarism", saying the attack showed how Moscow could not be trusted.

On Sunday, Moscow said Russian missiles had "destoryed military infrastructure" in Odesa, after previously not commenting on the attacks.

Kyiv -- which claimed Russia deliberately targetted the port in southern Ukraine -- vowed that grain exports would continue, despite the deal seemingly in tatters.

Russia’s defence ministry says it struck a Harpoon missile depot in Odesa

In addition to targeting a military boat in the port of Odesa, Russia’s defence ministry says it also destroyed US-supplied Harpoon anti-ship missiles.

“A docked Ukrainian warship and a warehouse with US-supplied Harpoon anti-ship missiles were destroyed by long-range precision-guided naval missiles in Odesa seaport on the territory of a ship repair plant,” Russian news agencies reported quoting the defence ministry.

The attack on the southern port took place on Saturday, a day after a deal was signed to unblock grain exports from Black Sea ports and ease global food shortages caused by the war.

The Ukrainians targeted the courthouse in Lysychansk with a HIMARS artillery attack, where the 6th regiment from Russia's second army corps had set up their headquarters. The strike is reported to have killed at least 50 officers and soldiers. Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, tweeted: "Ukrainian Army made a high-precision hit with HIMARS on a court building in occupied Lysychansk where about 50 high-profile Russian military were at that moment. This was confirmed by intelligence and head of Luhansk Military Administration."

so they use ship based missile to go after grain storage? why?
Going after Harpoon certainly makes more sense, and it's a good bet Ukraine has Harpoon and such stashed among commercial interests
