My father was 11 when Nazis invaded and occupied Norway.
He saw his sister's raped and father beaten.
He saw them take their food, after they took the guns.
His father was a market hunter, hard to kill ducks with no guns.
They may have raped his mother, he never talked about that.

Here's another anecdote. Long ago my wife broke down late one night and some guy pulled over and started hassling her demanding she roll down her window. She pointed a pistol at his face and he drove away. Glad she had that little 22.

All of them except the three who died from the GUNSHOT WOUNDS they received while minding their own business having dinner in the food court after some fucked up kid got ahold of a firearm and went on YET ANOTHER shooting rampage.

And what they were REALLY lucky about was that the shooter pointed his gun at someone else besides them.

I have a friend that got involved in an issue over parking and a guy got out of his truck with an expandable police baton and threatened to bash his head in. My friend pulled his Sig Sauer out and just showed it to the attacker. The guy screamed "You didn't have to pull a gun." and quickly got back in his truck and drove off. :laugh:
