Don't know. Don't care. It just sounds insensitive. Kinda like when Don Young referred to Latinos wetbacks. But if you prefer referring to Latinos as tacos be my guest. I won't.
Did you read the entire quote?

Why did Jill apologize if it was so witty and a compliment?
“Jill Biden apologizes after citing 'bodegas' and 'breakfast tacos' to praise Hispanic diversity“
https://syfeed.com/us/news-details/...os-to-praise-hispanic-diversity_64482001.html
Yeah. When addressing the Bronx bodegas she mispronounced the convenience stores and said “bogedas.
My guess would be "To Shut The Racist Reichtards Down for $100, Alex."
And?

And I answered your question. "Did you read the entire quote?"
Any other questions?![]()
I'll dumb it down for you
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists panned the remarks, stating,
“We are not tacos.”![]()
Hispanics took offense to her remarks.
I guess you are a racist.I guess they're as dumb as the rest of the RWNJs.
This is her "offensive" comment.
“Raul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community — as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio — is your strength.”
I assume everyone is appropriately outraged.
I guess you are a racist.
You called Hispanic journalist dumb what's next Jill? Why would you think that? Calling out journalistic misunderstanding isn't racist, AFAIK.
Ohhhhh she is praising them by comparing them to tacos....![]()
Actually yes.Is English your second language, Expressweenie?
Yes. And I asked you to add your opinion to it. Hence why I asked, "And?"
Personally I don't care. .
Actually yes.

Again, not "wit", just ignorance. You can get a breakfast taco pretty much anywhere. Using any type of "taco" to describe Mexican folks is definitely within the normal lexicon of the ignorant, which you and I both know is the cornerstone of racism. It's surprising and unique to Jill... because she's never spent any amount of time with Mexicans in these great United States.
