No, it's all about Trump, not the Jan 6 riot. They aren't investigating that, they're trying for a third time to get Trump. That should be obvious to anyone. It's also totally one-sided. The other investigations you mention allowed those questioned lawyers and cross-examination. It wasn't a one-sided trial held on television like this one has become. If it were, as you claim, going to end up being handed over for prosecution to say the DOJ, the evidence and even the ability to get a fair trial after the hearings were held on national television becomes impossible. It's a goddamned show trial.

That isn't some defense of Trump. I think the guy is badly tainted goods and pretty much a total asshole. But that's neither here nor there. Where are you going to find an impartial jury for a DOJ trial after the whole thing was nationally televised? Where are you going to find people that are reasonably impartial for that jury? You can't now. That's why it's a show trial. The committee members know--KNOW--they don't stand a chance of getting a conviction so they're doing the next best thing, a political show trial in the court of public opinion.
