It's fascinating how some posters here have a severe problem with comprehension. All of sudden I get attacked for not wanting them to report child abuse, which isn't the fucking topic of this thread.

Most States have similar mandatory laws for doctors regarding child abuse and crimes of violence (gun shots, stab wounds). Some States mandate that ANY individual is required to report child abuse.

Drs. typically are NOT required to report sexual assaults of adult women.

Yes. The troubling part is that the sheriff's dept. is only interested in making the child a criminal, while ignoring the rapist.
