Two-thirds back prosecuting Trump over effort to overturn election: survey

Short of the 5th Ave murder, Garland won’t prosecute Trump, prosecuting a former President isn’t a good look for the country, and plays right into Trump’s martyr schtick. With Trump’s army of attorneys, accountants, and SCOTUS working for him, any prosecution would extend further than his life time. Besides, Garland doesn’t need to, this Committee is laying out the case for the American public, they are the jury

In addition, as a Democrat, I want to see Trump run in 2024, with all this coming out now, that would end the Trumps, politically and personally, no way he could love being a recognized two time loser

You know I would agree with you, and I was with you, like 2 weeks ago but now -

He committed serious crimes. People died. That can't be just "let it go" because he was once president. Being president should not be a "get out of jail free" card for treason and murder.

America needs to prosecute him.

Sure I do. Lies were told and taken as gospel. The Democrats running the fiasco damaged their credibility beyond all repair.

You better hope there's better Democrats running things by November and 2024 if you like to see Democrats win.

I would if they'd be Americans, but they won't; So I don't.

Idiots are looking at you right now and saying, "Dude, take it down a notch, you're making us look smart!".

Physically threatening Fauci, Psaki, Georgia election officials, even Election Day workers is a crime, how come it gets zero coverage from those demagoguing make a big deal about protesting Judges homes?

Exactly. twumptards hate threats, unless it's directed at a Democrat. The all's fair game!

Engel is Trump’s security guy, and the supposed Secret Service guy is unnamed even though public record shows who was in the car, and saying one will testify and doing such isn’t the same, Jordan and Meadows said they would testify, and we all know how that turned out

Lets hear their testimony, Earl! LOL.. we'll never see Meadows in front of J6. Best we can hope for is a DOJ subpoena for him. He can't duck the FBI, ask Eastman!

I think Trump is a man child AND I do not believe for a second that the election was 'stolen'.
But I see NOTHING that he did that he can be convicted of in terms of the election.

He tried to have the election over turned because he claims that it was stolen?
Now, I do not believe he thinks it was stolen as he always blames elections he does not like on something else.
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/tru...tions-rigged-doesnt-results/story?id=74126926

But so what?
He tried to have the election overturned - and failed.
Miserably.

So what?
The system works.
I bet you almost every POTUS in history who lost an election would have overturned the results if they thought they could.

And like Truth Detector typed above - it's been 500 days!!!
Get over it already.
How about trying to fix the economy and stop obsessing about Trump so much?
Sheesh!

He attacked our nation, attempted to defraud the American people. If you don't see a crime you're an idiot.

Guess you forgot about the continued efforts to overturn the election, and rig the next one for Republicans by using the Big Lie as an excuse: getting Big Lie believers elected and appointed to key electoral positions, gerrymandering, and literally hundreds of new voter suppression laws.

Yeah - let's just "move on."

He's a lib-basher. Let him at me.. I'll have some fun with your little racist Rocket :)

Two-thirds of Americans say they think that former President Trump should be prosecuted for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, according to a new poll.
A Politico-Morning Consult poll released on Wednesday asked respondents if they believed Trump’s efforts to overturn the last presidential election’s results was a crime and that he should face prosecution.
Sixty-six percent of respondents said that they thought it was a crime and should be prosecuted, while 19 percent said it was not a crime and 18 percent said they thought it was a crime but Trump should not be prosecuted.
A majority of respondents also believed that Trump misled people in the country about the 2020 election outcome (57 percent), tried to overturn the 2020 election results (65 percent) and claimed fraud had been committed in the last election without evidence (64 percent).
The poll comes amid the latest hearing held by the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol attack.
The panel heard from Cassidy Hutchinson, a former special assistant to former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows, on Tuesday, in which she offered surprising new insight into the days before and after the Capitol riot.
Among some of the revelations offered during her in-person and recorded testimony, they included acknowledgements from within the White House that things could go wrong on Jan. 6, that the former president’s efforts to toss the last presidential election’s results were warned as being illegal to Trump and that the former president allegedly lunged at a Secret Service agent in an effort to go to the Capitol that day.
Her testimony was immediately dismissed by Trump on his Truth Social platform in which he said, “I hardly know who this person, Cassidy Hutchinson, is, other than I heard very negative things about her (a total phony and ‘leaker’).”
The Morning Consult-Politico poll was conducted between June 24 and June 26 with a sample of 2,004 registered voters. The margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points.

What time does it start?

When it comes to posting about how much of a fucking pussy you are for not showing up to DC on 1/6:

captain-america-i-can-do-this-all-day.gif

I'm certain you've been doing stupid all day every day for many a year.

Then why has the FBI not charged him with anything in relation to January 6?

How long did the Durham investigation last before it failed? Benghazi? Whitewater? It was years. You twumptards just need to be patient when it's one of yours on the chopping block, Mary-Beth.

What time does it start?

Doesn't matter. It'll be all over the news and late night shows for days, weeks. You'll see the highlights all over social media. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram. Even here. If you don't watch it live, it still has the same effect. So don't worry if you miss it, LyinBitch.
