I just do not see the two sides working this out. Both would have to make concessions that neither is willing to make.
When two factions reach that stage, the only way to deal with it is for one side to force its position on the other. Politically, that usually means war.
We did this once before in our history...and it was a huge tragedy for both sides.
I'm hoping that the country splits up into several separate countries before another civil war. Never thought I would ever utter (or write) those words, but that is where I am at right now.
