Cops have no constitutional duty to protect you

I'm telling you to prove I ever said that. I've answered that question over a dozen times to you and douche..........your memory is shit

You keep dodging it very nicely. Especially the conversation about "electors" which is on the same thread as the quotes below:
you misunderstand........I don't hate the United States..........I hate the government that thinks it's the United States............in the immortal words of the joker (jack nicholson)........."this town needs an enema"
we reconstitute the government. it's not that difficult...........all people need to do is adhere to the constitution........something you fuckers ignored over a century ago
and none of that is relevant to me being super thrilled at watching the entire federal government being blown to bits by a bomb on a television show.......................

The right wing packed SCOTUS just decided no one will protect citizens in this nation

I guess they want the people to defund the police

Why would people vote money for a police force who will refuse to protect the tax payers?

What does the SCOTUS say is the job of the police?

Just arresting people after they kill a whole school full of kids

I guess the SCOTUS doesn’t believe in the good guy with a gun bit even if you PAY that person to protect you

The SCOTUS SAYS that person can just stand there and watch you get murdered

the world is a strange and difficult place for morons

take you - you obviously agree that people have a right to life. but you also are shocked to find that we can't make cops risk their life.

what bullshit, you pedantic little fuckstick. participation is voting. I vote. you simply don't like how I vote, so fuck yourself

You said you didn't vote in the last election!

So if you say you hate something, then that means you hate it.

Do words not mean what they mean anymore?

the government over the last near century has been a tyrannical beast infringing on all of our rights.

The representative government over the last near century is what you hate...so when I said you hate multiracial, pluralistic democracy, what do you think I was referring to?

instead of seeing that big picture, you like to point fingers and accuse others of not doing something that you yourself don't have the courage to do.

First of all, it has never crossed my mind to overthrow the government by force because I don't like the results of the election.

Secondly, I was not the one bombarding the boards with accusations of fraud in the 2020 election...accusations I'm 99% sure you levied yourself either in the buildup to the election, or in the two months after it.

So you say the government is illegitimate and has been for a century, and then when the time came where you could actually do something about it, you choked.

You lack the will and courage to act on the bullshit you posture here on JPP.

You keep dodging it very nicely. Especially the conversation about "electors" which is on the same thread as the quotes below:

again with the assumptions. Just because I PREDICTED jan 6 does not mean I planned or participated in it..........but I think that's beyond your intellect level

well, you certainly have every right to be the idiot you currently are..........what exactly did that bullshit college degree give you other than a seriously overblown sense of superiority you don't deserve?

Don't think I don't notice how you're trying to change the subject away from your membership in that terrorist hate group...a terror hate group you left not because of their hatred that you LOVE, you left because you didn't agree with what? Cuz those terrorists say exactly what you've been saying on this thread.

So you never really left the ideology of the group, you just left the group.

All they care about are protecting themselves.

That's why none of them confronted the Uvalde shooter.

It sure seemed like they were doing more to help the shooter than stop him.

Justices Rule Police Do Not Have a Constitutional Duty to Protect Someone
https://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/...ot-have-a-constitutional-duty-to-protect.html

Therefore you have a Constitutional right and duty to protect yourself.

When you only have seconds, the police are just minutes away.

They'll have your carcass hauled off and half-ass try to catch who did it..kinda.

It was their duty to go after the shooter.

No it wasn't.

That was not their duty.

They do not have that duty; SCOTUS said so back in 2005.

The cops acted exactly the way they did because they aren't Constitutionally bound to protect and serve, and don't really give a shit about dead children.

It seems to me, they have no obligation to do anything in these situations, according to the Supreme Court, doesn’t matter whose in charge, they don’t have to respond. It’s not their duty, according to SCOTUS.

Not a lawyer, but the SCOTUS decision was about domestic violence and restraining orders. I'm not sure how it applies to the Uvalde situation.

Also, while there may not be a Constitutional requirement for police to arrest or protect, there might be state or municipal requirements or procedures.

Again, I'm content to await completion of the investigation.

It was their duty to go after the shooter. However, there is a chain of command. If some idiot just rushed into a hostage situation, he could get everyone killed.

How's that boot taste?

Also, everyone was already killed...at least, that's what the cops are saying.

I personally don't believe the mass shooter killed all the kids in that school...I think the keystone Uvalde cops killed a couple, which is why we will NEVER see the autopsy report on all the victims and why we will never get a true, full, uncensored report on the failures that occurred that day.

It's been almost 5 years and we still don't have a report on the Paddock shooting that NV cops promised was coming.

This is not a current event, faggot. It's from 17 years ago. :palm:

"June 28, 2005"

"The decision, with an opinion by Justice Antonin Scalia and dissents from Justices John Paul Stevens and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, overturned a ruling by a federal appeals court in Colorado. "

W. was president and it was pre-crash crazy house prices and mortgage times.

You said you didn't vote in the last election!
you're lying again, or your memory is that shitty. I told everyone here I voted for jorgensen......unless you want to claim that a 3rd party vote is not voting?

So if you say you hate something, then that means you hate it.
If I say I hate the current president, that must mean I hate all presidents? that must mean you hate biden, right?

The representative government over the last near century is what you hate...so when I said you hate multiracial, pluralistic democracy, what do you think I was referring to?
deflection.........that all you have? if you need to remain that vague so you can claim a 'gotcha', i'm just gonna let your lying ass rant

So you say the government is illegitimate and has been for a century, and then when the time came where you could actually do something about it, you choked.

more bullshit projection and deflection. you like that patriot act, do you?

Once they had the forces massed, they should have attacked. IDK why they waited but suspect it was a chain of command or jurisdiction issue. The investigation by all parties (from the town, the state and the Feds) will reveal what mistakes were made and how to correct them.

We aren't going to get a single report from anyone on this.

Just like we never got a report on the Paddock shooting in Vegas 5 years ago.

The feds aren't going to conduct an investigation and even if they did, the TX authorities won't cooperate...they already aren't cooperating with the city council.

No one wants this situation to ever happen again.

You sure about that? Sure seems like the cops want it to happen again so they can whine and bitch about how scared they are of an AR-15, yet won't have their police union put pressure on lawmakers to ban it.

All cops are bad.

Your hysteria is the main obstacle to career success. OTOH, if all you want to do is stay home and eat bon-bons while hubby works, then you've certainly found your niche.
