Germany will fire up coal plants again in effort to save natural gas

Batteries rely on chemistry. You cannot get around the periodic table. The most a single battery cell can generate in voltage is about 3 volts. The size of the cell determines ampacity. Those are fixed and known facts and aren't going to change. Batteries cost money. They are unnecessary for electrical generation systems that can generate power on demand.

Bottom line: Batteries are expensive and an added cost to systems like solar and wind that can't generate reliable power.

We can use dams and reservoirs and pumps as a battery, so no....surely we can figure something out.

But Germany has one of the highest percentages of wind and solar in their energy mix in the world. Why are those working the wonders the Greentards proclaim for them?

For whatever mistakes and sins we made, America has generally stood on the side of international law and justice when it comes to unprovoked attacks by aggressive militaristic states on their neighbors --> WW1, WW2, South Korea, Kuwait, Bosnia, Ukraine.

If you feel like sitting on the sidelines and eating popcorn while you watch the worst war crimes in Europe since Nazi Germany, that's your choice as an individual.

Just don't expect America to be a passive and aloof witness to barbaric war crimes and unprovoked military aggression.
Oh please with this sanctimonious war policy. you go to war because you have to -
not for eastern Europe's FUBAR of NATO expansion and militarization of Ukraine.

As I've shown many times we created this monster with our Franenstein promises of backing Ukraine
the same as a NATO nation - like Ukraine borders are the same as a NATO state.

They are NOT. we have no obligation to defend Ukraine borders in a proxy war against Russia by giving them ALL of our MOST ADVANCED WEAPONS at UNLIMITED QUANTITIES

Fuck all this being a grab bag candy store of weapons for Zelensky's government.

You talk like some idealist who hasnt been around to se the USA mangle countries in their civil wars
and meddle in in their politics - like Ukraine.
Send the $56 billion ( not even the real cost) as a rebate check to USA drivers -
quit stoking wars with our tax money. Europe can afford this. it;s their war, let them pay for it

Pumped hydro means you have to use energy to pump the water into storage. That means having extra capacity to do that that isn't generating profit--eg., = higher costs. There is no 'something for nothing' here and perpetual motion machines don't exist.

We can solve this problem.

As I've said several times before, the electricity used is off peak when there's low demand.

A conflict between fledgling democracy and authoritarianism is being played out on the Ukranian steppes.

For the next 12 to 24 months, it is more important to starve the notorious war criminal Vlad Putin of cash than it is to worry about firing up a few coal plants as an interim measure.

President Trump was right again. He warned Germany about their energy dependence on Russia and the Nordstream 2.

America's values are, or should be, freedom, democracy, respect for international law, and relentless opposition to totalitarianism, war crimes, and unprovoked aggression.

America can never go wrong standing by those principles.

You can blame NATO all you want. Americans, and Fox News viewers in particular, have a the historical awareness of an invertebrate. What is actually happening on the steppes of Ukraine is 300 years of Russian imperialism being played out at the point of a gun barrel.

Trump said Putin was a genius for invading Ukraine.

And? :dunno:

Pootie invaded Crimea under OBiden, and that worked out for him.

Obama got caught on a hot mic saying his collusion with Vlad needs to be kept a secret from American voters.

sounds like an ad for a Superman movie. that is pure neocon (again)

Fox has been pro-Ukraine in the beginning - just like the rest of western Zelensky TV.
Hannity is a hopeless cold warrior but Ingram and Tucker questioned the whole McConnell/Pelosi nexus.
Pelosi BOWED when she met Zelensky.. McConnell is the usual Russiaphobe
Seems to me the only independent thought in the media comes from FOX whether you agree or not

I beleikve that was LNR and DNR; but at least Trump is now pushing back on an open checkbook/open checklist for our finest weapons in mass quantities being shipped off to an eastern Europe border war

Europe lags way behind -why shouldn't they since we take the lead in their war?
