Id like to see Trump prosecuted, but I think its likely not to happen.
Its very hard to justify prosecuting a former president, in the end it is a no win situation.
The majority of the Republican party would be happy to see Trump gone, and they would move on to a softer Ron DeSantis.
Trumps brand has always been, say whatever it takes to get what you want. Lie and get away with it all day long, has it finally caught up to him?
I think he is done! Even the craziest of Trumppies on this site are no longer screaming daily that he will be reinstated or win in 2024. These hearings are likely the final blow. The party will distance from him quietly and slowly and move on to DeSantis or Cruz or someone like that. They should go with someone like Nikki Haley, but they wont.
Its what Republicans do, they support a very seriously flawed candidate and watch him slowly implode or in Trumps case explode, then they move on to a new seriously flawed candidate. They did it with Bush I, they did it with Bush II and they are in the very public way with Trump. Already, as I have said would happen, many of them are disavowing him or saying they never really liked him. No matter what, their next false God "Golden Calf" will be less of an obvious liar, less of a mental case, but maybe more fascist and more manipulative, I hope just as poor of a straightest.
