You are an idiot. I've explained why the working poor who won't qualify for assitance but not making enough to afford health insurance will be fined.
The working poor who make more than 60k a year?
yeah, it happens. personal circumstances can dictate that even though you make decent money, you're still poor.
Maybe if you're octomom.
or if your spouse has a serious heart condition, requires open heart surgery, then post op meds cost you about 1200 a month.
Under such situations (and only considering the benefit from your perspective) you'd want to be for this bill, because it prevents insurance companies from discriminating based on pre-existing conditions. You could replace the massive $1200 cost per month with a normal insurance premium.
so you think I should downgrade my job outlook and work at mcdonalds instead of trying to continue along in my current IT profession? all so I can partake of this bill?
because that 1200 a month is WITH insurance.
I doubt you'd get better coverage by working at McDonald's.
Obviously, they're giving you pretty shitty insurance right now, and the minimum insurance your employer will be required to give you is going to be better.
And you've said you were uninsured before.

Tinfuck, you don't understand anything about this issue, and that is clear, so there's no reason to debate you on this.

Usually as the results of medical costs or bad decisions though.
generally this is true, but even with decent insurance plans, medical costs can break you.
