No. I am saying the current court and the current Republicans in Congress are against any attempt to restrict who can own or carry guns. That means they would oppose requiring mental health checks which might identify those that don't live in reality. Half the people posting here could be classified as not living in reality and then the only question is whether they are a danger to themselves or others. Not a line the Republicans want to even get close to.
Agreed. It's a dog and pony show with that "multi-partisan" group. It's a smoke screen to try to keep the masses from storming the gates while the Republican Taliban and their gun lobby partners plot their next ugly move.
