When those at this forum went to school, most of us anyway, no one worried about the door being locked to keep the class from getting gunned down. We force children today to endure that thought as a tradeoff for a wide open gun culture. Is it worth it?

yes.

And explain to us exactly why is it worth it
bullshit. when I went to school there were fewer gun laws and people could actually buy machine guns and we never worried about someone breaking through the door to shoot us. your premise is bullshit
THe right to self defense is worth putting up with these deep state orchestrated tragedies.
hold the line.
When did elementary aged kids getting slaughtered by a guy with a semiautomatic weapon become a “deep state orchestrated” event?

God, guns, gays, abortion. Meaningless debates.

it depends on when they started planning.
And way fewer guns
Than at any stage, when did elementary aged kids getting slaughtered by a guy with a semiautomatic weapon become a “deep state orchestrated” event?
Precisely. Guns haven't radically changed in the last 50 years, but American society has. There are massively more single-parent households. The quality of education has foundered. Punishment of children has become a joke and kids know it. Society has become emasculated. There's lots more, but the point is that society has changed for the worse and we are seeing the results of that today--including gun violence.
everytime they're planned by deep state.
Guns, never, doesn’t say much for us as a society if we allow little kids getting massacred by semiautomatic weapons to pass without notice. You are correct, nothing will ever be done, Sandy Hook proved that, but it still demands attention to point out the disgrace
