While Shooter Took Out Fourth Graders, Cops Huddled in Safety

That's because you're a pussy.

I bet the cops that were there are millenials. Churned out in the pussy-ass inducing leftist indoctrination school system that's been ongoing for 20+ years or so.

They were made to be pussies. I ain't claiming to be no Superman, but those dudes failed at their jobs. Why should people pay for those motherfuckers salaries again?

Back in my day, cops were the real deal. They might even let you go if you weren't bad. It's not like that anymore.

The cops hammer minor violators and run from real shit. That's fucked up; Yet that's how it is.

You do know the world has many locations where children are being killed as we speak. If you are so brave, you could go to one of them, and try to save some children.

It is easy to type that you are brave. It is harder to actually be brave.

That's nice, honey.

Internet bravado aside. Seriously, this was a big fuckup that got innocents killed.

These dudes get paid big bucks every day to protect the public. (allegedly)

Then when it comes down to it, they fucking fold. That's a damn shame.

I guess "big bucks" is subjective. It is Texas, which talks a bunch about not defunding the police, and then skips paychecks on them.

More importantly, is there an amount of money one can be paid to face certain death? I know they were not facing certain death, but this is more a hypothetical question. I find the jobs that people do face certain death in, like being a soldier, do not pay well. It is more about service to the community, patriotism, etc.

I certainly wish they had been more heroic. Maybe they should have been more heroic. But I do not feel comfortable demanding they be extraordinarily heroic while I sit at a keyboard in a comfortable home office.

The obvious first impulse is to go right away, but any well armed, intelligent shooter will setup kill zones to kill anyone going in right away. And asking police(or anyone else) to face a very high chance of death is difficult. Moving in slowly, in an organized way, provides a far better chance the police will survive, but there will be children killed while they wait.

Would armed teachers be any better? They would have the same problems, they might be misidentified as the shooter, and they might be the shooter. I would like to say school employees would never start shooting in a classroom, but the reality is they do from time to time.

One thing we should remember is that schools are still the safest places in America. They are safer than homes, offices, streets, malls, etc. Making them more like the rest will not make them safer.

The amazing thing to me, is that the parents were braver in the cops. A mom was actually able to jump the fence, go into the school, and go get her two kids while the cops stood outside and attacked other parents for trying to do the same. I have to think there are going to be some cop suicides out of guilt. I'd like to be there to witness all of them. Pussy, evil cops. And it hasn't slipped my mind that most victims were hispanic and the DPS guy lying during the press conference was white. That's going to be a news story in itself.

No, I don't think a lot of parents are going to trust some unemployed MAGA fat asses walking around their kids school with loaded weapons.

More importantly, we shouldn't have to live in a country where little school children have to be guarded by armed groups of unemployed militia of dubious training and organizational skill.

That is unacceptable for a developed first world nation

it is sad you oppose trained, active security as unacceptable, since it is the single most effective way of preventing this sort of thing from happening..........you aren't concerned with protecting children.......you only want to protect your political agenda........

Or they will become the problem.

well the a cop could go bad and start shooting kids while he is in there

u are a stupid fuck..if one of those teachers that was killed had a gun and was trained they would have at least had a fighting chance

I would like to say school employees would never start shooting in a classroom, but the reality is they do from time to time.

So could a cop u stupid fuck

The point is the teacher or teachers would have been firing back in less than a min....instead of as in the case the cops firing back in 90 mins

And one of those teachers may have took him down....but u want the shooter to go 90 mins before being shot at

What you believe about me matters not the least bit to me. The polices' job is to protect the innocent. They were instead protecting the shooter.

And I know why this upsets you so. For years, you stood behind that "good guy with a gun" sexual fantasy. Well, that was all blown out of the water in TX 48 hours ago, wasn't it, Princess?

Tik, tik, motherfucker.. we're going to get your guns now!
That's what Trump believed too! How awesome you two must be.

I'm not upset, but it's interesting to me that you think I am. Why do you think I'm upset?

Not only huddled in safety, but was waiting on a fuckin key to get into the school, while babies were screaming for their lives. I only wish Brianna Taylor had these cowards in Ky. when they burst into her apartment and put 12 bullets into her body...with the NO KNOCK SHIT WARRENT. I'm not hating on these law officers, they were afraid to die. And they do what most humans do, run for cover...UNLESS YOUR AN UNARMED BLACK MAN OR WOMEN, THEN IF THEY BECOME AFRAID, THEY CHOKE YOU DEATH, PUT A BULLET TO YOUR HEAD, A KNEE ON YOU NECK. I hope the screams of those cowards haunt them to the grave!!!

Hat's off to your, sir. You're great at playing the angry black woman. Kudos, sir!

"We can't go in until the bomb squad gets there", the policeman in apparent charge shouted to a group of officers outside the school. Inside the school, gun shots could be heard. A woman standing nearby screamed at the police, "Go in there". They waited. The shooter spent his leisurely hour dispatching one child after another along with their teachers until class was over for forever.

Earlier, a security guard posted at the school for exactly the protection needed that day was the first person the shooter eliminated.

So, what is the solution to mass shootings at schools. "More police," says Ted Cruz and the chorus

armed teachers. more armed citizens in general.

and fewer cowardly cops unwilling to do their jobs.

School shooters aren't conditioned terrorists; their only kill zone is the classroom. They are not far from being kids themselves and out of their minds with rage or despair. Ever since Columbine 23 years ago the protocol for police departments across the country has been to go into the building without waiting for backup.
