There is no text in Article I or the 14th amendment giving the federal government power to regulate immigration. Nothing is any state constitution can grant powers to the federal government.

This thread is a good example of why compromise is needed - and why Roe was such a thoughtful compromise.

The 2 sides will NEVER agree on this issue. Many on the pro-life side will always see it as killing. Pro choicers will never concede that as long as the fetus needs a woman's body, that woman is the decision-maker regarding her body & future.

The 1st trimester is an elegant, intelligent compromise. I know pro lifers will say that there can be no compromise, because they believe it's killing. But they're in the minority on this, and if they REALLY thought it was killing, they sure didn't do that much about it for the last 5 decades.

There is no consciousness in the 1st trimester. It gives the mother time to make thoughtful, smart decisions about her life, and it avoids allowing abortion in the later stages, which get much more ambiguous in terms of development and becoming a fully realized human being with full rights.

Compromise on killing the unborn? Sounds rather primitive. How about education and NOT needing an abortion except in the case of incest or rape? And even then, why punish the unborn child for the sins of the parental unit? Give them up for adoption.

We don't need to be a barbaric system of death and murder. The pro-life are not in the minority. In fact, the minority are the leftist murderous maniacs who think they should have their way over every issue and if they don't get it, they'll form a mob and attack your place of work, your home and harass/threaten you while enjoying a restaurant. They don't believe in Democracy. Most hate our nation. I think they should be deported to socialist utopias like Venezuela or Cuba.

I have found even quoting relevant passages in the Constitution is still rejected by Flash as 'not being in the Constitution'. He really has no concept of what a constitution even is or what it does.

Those are called PUSH POLLS. They are meaningless attempts at claiming support where none actually exists. If abortion is so popular among Americans, why is it that the Democratic Party of Lying Jackasses has never pushed for a Federal law, or even better, an amendment to the Constitution over this issue?

I think the same about damn near every single liberal poster on here, but I don't thread ban any of them because every once in a GREAT while, they end up saying something that is correct. Then again, even a broken clock is correct two times per day... which sadly is about two more times per day than the typical liberal is...

how silly. a really nice compromise is to let states decide - and when people can't get the state to see as they see it - to allow them to freely move elsewhere
