Free speech is so important but this is a time when lies controls so much of the population. If this is the new right wing brand in This country ,what the right will do is more of what they already have done, and that is to keep the population as stupid as they can , which they have done in the south and many places that they control. So free speech makes stupid. The right will do anything to stay in power . I mean absolutely anything. The full and absolute range of everything. There next attempt to overthrow our democracy and government will work, jan 6th was just practice. We have this forum. There are lots of political forums. I fail to see why Twitter is important.
As I noted yesterday, MAGA militia is delusional thinking Musk is going open up Twitter to everyone and anyone, including their demagogues pimping hate. In fact, the whole “free speech” rhetoric is absurd as it applies to Twitter
At its’ offset, Twitter started out with the full intent of supposedly being open for all, free exchange of speech, but within a short time, when foreign extreme groups started disseminating their propaganda, and the death threats among users started to fly, they learned that the open forum they envisioned was a illusionary.
It is the same with Musk, in fact, he is one of the biggest censors when it comes to others criticizing him
