American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten warned that legislation similar to Florida's recent parental rights bill may have dire consequences.

"This notion – we've been very lucky in America, and we in some ways live in a bubble for a long time," Weingarten said. "This is propaganda. This is misinformation.
This is the way in which wars start. This is the way in which hatred starts."

The AFT is the nation's most prominent teachers' union and has been a consistent and vocal critic of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and of GOP school legislation, accusing the party of overstepping boundaries and placing undue restrictions on educators.

he union – one of the most powerful labor organizations in the country – has tried to walk a tightrope as school boards nationwide are seeing a surge in parental participation.

AFT has stated it supports parental involvement in education – but expressed concern about some so-called "vocal minorities" who, according to the group, wanted to marginalize kids and censor teachers.

Typical Fox, take the quote out of context and reframe it to generalize a political point

The lady didn’t say parental rights started wars, but rather the “propaganda, misinformation” promoted by the advocates of these bills; “This is the way in which wars start. This is the way in which hatred starts."

All this is happening when the WEAK D's are in control. Can you even imagine what we are going to do when we retake everything this November? All of your worst fears? Yeah,...they are true. And THEN SOME! Justice is coming.

Hitler is coming.

Wokesters dont like pushback

Actually, all us rational & objective folk don't like the lies, straw man arguments and general bullshit pushed by fringe christian evangelicals, MAGA minions and general corporate/right wing flunkies.

DeSantis claims have been proven on another thread to be at best disingenuous. Weingarten pointing to the sheer stupidity and opportunist push behind DeSantis and his ilk have been seen in history before. Like it or not, the CRT boogey man is only works with child like minds...not adults.

We will make Nazi Germany look like a Tuesday night Glee club practice. ;) And it was the left that gave us all the ammo we ever needed to do it...

Who is this "we"? Seems you're just another paper tiger making threats. There was another poster doing similar stuff, goes by SmarterThanYou. His ass dove under the bed, changed his icon and catch phrase, threw his compatriots under the bus after Jan. 6th. So be careful in your security in this "we"...because you might feel a breeze as they exit out the back door when reality hits them in the ass. Just saying.

What will they lose or "win"? What will you lose or "win"? And where did she state that she wanted a "war"?

Do you believe parents should have no say in what their children are taught?
