The "big guy" email was at a time when neither Hunter nor Joe Biden was in government. Basically, a businessman with no political connection mentioned running something by "the big guy," who supposedly was his father, who also was just a private citizen.

Isn't it strange that the right-wingers have tried to turn that into a political scandal? If Don Jr. had done the same, it wouldn't even register as a blip on the scandal radar. Of course Don Jr. would be running business ideas past his father back in the days before his father was president. So what?

I don't know whether Hunter Biden did anything illegal. I know that the Republicans have been looking hard for anything for a few years now without any luck. But if they ever find anything, it'll be an extra step to get from that to anything that implicates his father.

The worst that will happen to Hunter, in my opinion, is a hefty fine and to retroactively register as a foreign agent. Facts are lost on some of these folks.

Hunter has always been a target for Whataboutism just like Biden hair-sniffing was turned into kiddie rape like Trump is guilty of doing.

By trying to link any crimes Hunter may be guilty of or just his taking advantage of those seeking access to his father, the RWNJs are using whataboutism to defend Trump doing the same for his corruption.
