MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Another name has jumped into the ring in an attempt to oust incumbent Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Royce White, a former Gophers basketball player and current MMA athlete, launched his bid for a U.S. Congress seat Tuesday.

“I’m a fifth-generation Minnesotan, and a product of the Twin Cities. But, first and foremost, I’m an American,” White says in a video he posted to Twitter Tuesday morning. “I’m running for Congress because our leaders have sold us out.”

White goes on in the video to call Omar a “globalist,” and a “puppet for the establishment.” The video also includes swipes at “Big Pharma, Big Tech and the corporate elites.”

The 5th congressional district is the most democratic district in the entire state of Minnesota, and one of the most in the entire midwest. You candidate has zero qualifications and zero chance.

Royce White, a not so stellar career:

He was a high school basketball star in the state of Minnesota and had committed to play for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball team before being suspended by the team for theft and assault and transferring to Iowa State.
White was called the "mystery pick"[5] of the 2012 NBA Draft due to his NBA ready body, legal issues, point-forward skill set, and public disclosure of his severe fear of flying during his season at Iowa State. White was drafted in the first round by the Houston Rockets and is now called a "draft bust".[6][7]

That's bigger than most American small towns, and that's what Obama seeded in Minnesota.
