Sorry, you only get one sentence for the Bulwer-Lytton contest...

Since 1982 the Bulwer Lytton Fiction Contest has challenged participants to write an atrocious opening sentence to the worst novel never written. The whimsical literary competition honors Sir Edward George Bulwer-Lytton, whose 1830 novel Paul Clifford begins with “It was a dark and stormy night.”

Wanting to teach 5 year olds about transgenderism is just off the chain. It's sick on every level.

Teachers in Florida were never attempting to teach 5 yr olds about transgenderism. This is DeSantis making sure he locks up the fucked in the head bigoted homophobes in Florida of which there are a lot.

of course not.
the ban is on classroom instruction/ or counselors (school instructors) that is not age appropriate

So how does the teacher answer when a child asks "my friend tommy said he doesn't have a mom and dad, he just has 2 mom's, I thought everyone has a mom and a dad?"

no 1st grade teacher was ever indoctrinating or teaching kids about transgenderism or homosexuality, the law was for the trump wannabe governor to get the support of homophobes.

Of course it doesn't say gay. Here's what it actually says:

prohibiting classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in certain grade levels or in a specified manner

In other words, they cannot discuss about being straight, gay, hetrosexual, homosexual, transgender and such. And we all know what they really are saying. No discussion about being gay or transgender at all.

Also, the bill has a provision for parents to sue if a third party (i.e. other parents) explains it.

Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students

Like I said it will not work. It's going to blow up in their faces.
There are already billboards going up around the Communist state. This is much better than in school. It will force the Communists to answer questions when kids see the billboards.

Billboards popping up in some of Florida’s largest cities are encouraging passersby to “say gay.”
The massive roadside messages are a response to the state’s controversial Parental Rights in Education bill, dubbed by critics the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law Monday. The measure prohibits “classroom instruction ... on sexual orientation or gender identity” in “kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate.”

Give examples of inappropriate sexual orientation and identity being discussed in K-3.
And the moronic poll he cited asked a loaded question. Nobody is being 'taught' about being gay.

This is no doubt just another work around to ban books in schools.

So you honestly think that suppression of Free Speech or making ambiguous laws (which this one seems to be) are not un-Constitutional?

I would say it is OBVIOUS that you are the one whom does not know what is in the Constitution.

School is in:

And since you are clearly just a troll and not worth my time.

We are done here.

Have a nice day.
I think you are moron and when I use a term like incorporation, you have no fucking clue what I speak of.

dildos are less of a poser than you Richard.

poll found that more than 52 percent of Democratic voters surveyed, roughly 365 people, oppose the Governor Ron DeSantis-championed policy
A further 12 percent remarked that they were unsure of their stance on the bill
Just 36 percent of those polled said they opposed the legislation, officially called the 'Parental Rights in Education Bill'
The results come just days after a POLITICO/Morning Consult poll revealed that a majority of Americans support the guidance

Commissioned by local political action committee Floridians for Economic Advancement, 701 likely voters were asked about the legislation - officially named the 'Parental Rights in Education Bill' - which limits LGBTQ discussion in schools.

The bill would ban teachers for speaking about sexual orientation and gender identity with students in kindergarten to third grade, while also limiting discussions about those topics in other grades.

t also allows parents to sue districts over alleged violations of the ban, and requires teachers to notify a student's parent if there is a change in the student's mental, emotional or physical health - something LGBTQ advocates argue could lead to students being outed to their parents.

The poll found that 52 percent of Democratic voters surveyed, roughly 365 people, support the Governor Ron DeSantis-championed policy, saying students in the specified age group should not be taught about sexual orientation or gender identity in class.

A further 12 percent remarked that they were unsure of their stance on the bill. Just 36 percent of those polled opposed the legislation.

When I was in school, they couldn't talk about that stuff at all!

We used to heckle this one foreign language teacher and ask him flat-out if he was a faggot in the language he taught.

He never broke the rules and just clammed up.
