So, You Want $15 An Hour?

Fast food workers make a minimum of $20 hourly in Denmark, while in the US, their average hourly wage is $8.90, according to the Times report.

It's not the pay, it's the cost of living versus the pay.

If a hamburger costs $20, that's a problem for those only making $9. If it costs only a $1, that's a different matter.

Well, at least I can say I tried.

I asked you a question. I asked you what you thought we could do to improve capitalism.

You failed to answer that question. Instead, you chose to continue with your insults. I figured that's where you would go, but I was holding onto the thinnest shred of hope that you would be man enough to actually engage the conversation.

You proved my initial fears to be correct. You're not capable of having a discussion. All you want to do is prop yourself up by insulting others. Well, after a half dozen attempts to get to to have a conversation, I'm done. If I thought you were capable of such a conversation, I would continue. But you've made it glaringly obvious that you have no interest in that.

Now, I know you will claim "victory" and insist that you've "handed me my ass" but, permit me to assure you, that is not the case. Your repeated failure to do anything but hurl vitriol is clear evidence that you're only capable of that. So, it is with that in mind that I dismiss you to the steamy pile of human feces that is my "ignore" list. There are, I think, only two others on it; those who have also proven to be worthless bags of skin and total wastes of oxygen.

I will, I suppose, take solace in the fact that, at 85, you've already surpassed the average life expectancy for an American male (I won't say "man", because you're not a man at all). Given that, you're not likely to be with us much longer. I, on the other hand, will take my lack of humanity and use it to help those who deserve to be helped. I'll use it to help those who need a hand. I will not, however, give it to anyone who thinks they should have it for no other reason than they don't, despite what ignorant old fools like you believe...

Frank's capable, he's just not willing.

Awww...you are going to run away.

Okay...actually a smart move. Better than continuing to get your ass handed to you.

As for insults and vitriol...I think any sane person reading our conversation would fall over in laughter at the thought of you accusing me of being the one engaged in that. YOU, SG...were obviously the one engaging in hurling insults. You did it in every post you made...childish insults at that. And in just about EVERY post you made.

Oh, well. You did amuse me for a while...so for that, I thank you.

Now don't peek at what I've written.

;)

I am capable, Matt...and I am willing. But he is not.

And if you have been following the "conversation" (I doubt you have, it was boring as hell for anyone other than the two of us)...I hope you see the absurdity of him accusing me of being the insulting one.

C'mon Frank, I know you better than that. You snuck a couple jabs in there..huh?

Actually some of the back-and-forth is pretty good a couple pages back.

Right around where you get into the "Alexander The Great" groove.

It beats your "Orange Man Bad" posting. :tongout:

increasing minimum wage is easier than stopping the fed. Historically, nothing has been able to stop the fed. they're still rampaging roughshod on humanity with their fiat currency totalitarianism.

increasing the min wage is the move here.

The Big Mac costs about $4.80 in the US and $5.60 in Denmark, according to the Times report.

There's also housing, utilities, transportation, insurance, taxes, etc.

What is the cost of living index comparison between the US and Denmark...realizing that the US is a sooo much larger than the little country by the sea.** :)

Here's the data in individual states: https://meric.mo.gov/data/cost-living-data-series

**Denmark population 5.8M is about the same as Wisconsin's. The US is 330M. Denmark is 16.6K sq. miles; Maryland is 12.4K and West Virginia is 24K.

I don't get that sense at all. I think he's out of his depth and afraid to engage.

While I do have him on ignore, I see what he posts when you quote him. For him to say I'm not willing to have the discussion is outright laughable. I lost count of the times I tried to get him to do it and he refused. That's glaringly obvious.

Did I insult him? I sure as fuck did. But that's how I respond when someone decides they just want to be a douchebag and start slinging shit.

The fact that you said his posts in this thread are better than his usual "orange man bad" post tells me all I really need to know about him, quite frankly...
