3 retired generals: The military must prepare now for a 2024 insurrection

Seriously? How do you figure?
I can't read most of this conversation but civililan bullets are hollow points and military bullets are fully jacketed as you well know.

Out of the same rifle, a .223 Remington is more deadly than a 5.56 x 45mm NATO.

That aside, any claims that the US Military is outgunned by moron militias is of course ludicrous.

You are still ignoring the sheer number of armed civilians in this country.

Paul D. Eaton is a retired U.S. Army major general and a senior adviser to VoteVets. Antonio M. Taguba is a retired Army major general, with 34 years of active duty service. Steven M. Anderson is a retired brigadier general who served in the U.S. Army for 31 years.

As we approach the first anniversary of the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, we — all of us former senior military officials — are increasingly concerned about the aftermath of the 2024 presidential election and the potential for lethal chaos inside our military, which would put all Americans at severe risk.

In short: We are chilled to our bones at the thought of a coup succeeding next time.

'Riot'.
Not 'insurrection'.

Reuters reports: 'The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.

"Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases," said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. "Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages."'

You can try and whip up panic all you want.
The fact remains that the FBI knows FAR more about it than you do.
And they said it was NOT an insurrection.

Good day.

The Trump insurrection failed. He is planning better this time. There are actually people who will destroy the country to get the dictator they want. They claim to be patriots as they destroy a 250 year experiment.

Prolly should be since we had a successful one in 2020.
When states refuse to enforce their own laws who is there to address that ?

The United States has already fallen.

The U.S. lost credibility in the world under Trump?!!

U.S. Image Plummets Internationally as Most Say Country Has Handled Coronavirus Badly

Since Donald Trump took office as president, the image of the United States has suffered across many regions of the globe. As a new 13-nation Pew Research Center survey illustrates, America’s reputation has declined further over the past year among many key allies and partners. In several countries, the share of the public with a favorable view of the U.S. is as low as it has been at any point since the Center began polling on this topic nearly two decades ago.

It was completed. The coup by Democrats is successful...for now.

Thus proving everyone correct that Trump was such a delusional and incompetent leader of the Republican party that they handed everything over to the Democrats.

BWAAA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAA!

331,000,000 vs 538

whose side does anyone think the military will go with ?
The side supporting and defending the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Yes, even if they are oath-breaking mercenaries, terrorists or Congressmen.

Except to defend cities or capitols, I doubt military members would conduct maneuvers across the countryside.

Like on 1/6, they'll mostly stand down. States have the options of Guardsmen and their LEOs. The Feds have....wait for it....the FBI!

Which is how most of these clowns are taken down. LOL

A riot or terrorist attack does not a Civil War make.
