If you were really jogging in a some neighborhood and someone has a gun and telling you to stay put until the cops arrive, would you charge the person with the gun and attempt to disarm them? I just don't see the typical "Jogger" behaving like that.
If real cops had showed up they told him to freeze and he attacked the cop going for the gun he would have been shot

Not at all. He nearly killed the kid when he tried run him off the road with his truck. He had no legal justification to assault the victim with a deadly weapon, his truck or detain him and since was committing a felony in cooperation and coordination with the actual killer. As an accomplice to murder he is considered as culpable, legally speaking, as the actual killer.
To use an anology, it was like he was a get away driver for some bank robbers who killed the Banks Guard. He was an accomplice to murder and is considered just as guilty as the actual killer.

They called police..When they told Arbery the police were coming, he became violent. They could hear the sirens coming at the time he rushed the younger McMichael and attempted to grab his weapon.
