And I am FUCKING OUTRAGED! A whole lot of people who have raised kids are going to be when they see it. For that matter people with no kids will be too. What a frame job CIRCUS! Looks like its all going to blow up in their faces though. These charges should have NEVER been filed!

so it is okay for a 17 year old to illegally carry a gun to a protest and shoot two unarmed people to death who come near him. no one else was shot that night, protests everywhere, except where this chickenshit punk ass trigger happy coward was.

I cant imagine that his lawyer(s?) thought this was a good idea. There is no legal reason for him to be on the stand, this is about something else.

I mean, it's not like ALL of this couldn't have been avoided. I felt for him on the stand today, and found myself wishing he had never gone to that place to begin with.

What do people think is going to happen if they take a gun to an emotionally charged mob situation? The volume goes up fast, and things can get out of control in a second.

Do we really want armed teenagers who have no training in crowd control entering into situations like that?

Everyone lost something here. It's a tragedy all the way around. If there is ANY silver lining, it's the possibility that people might learn from this. Leave enforcement in these kinds of situations to the pro's.

(A note: while I thought it odd that a 17-year old who’d so coolly turned himself in to police after shooting three people in the middle of a riot would come apart so completely while testifying in his own defense, I would point out that the witness box is a godawful place to be. I have testified twice in my life, both in civil actions in which I was neither plaintiff nor defendant. It’s a goddamn nerve-wracking experience even in the most benign circumstances.)

Clearly the prosecutors are beyond stupid.

He will be just fine in the end, whether by mistrial or not guilty verdict.

He hired lawyers, they're doing lawyer things. However, most lawyers I know of never put the defendant on the stand. These are good and seasoned lawyers, too. (that I know)

Classic knee jerk overcharging happened with Zimmerman and Casey Anthony. Because of the national spotlight the prosecutor overcharged and now he can't prove the charges.

I can just see some judges I've been in front of hearing that person spew their bullshit.

They'd be lucky to not wind up in a holding cell for contempt of court here.

The skate boarder guy did. Would you like someone to club you about the head and shoulder with a skate board. Then Huber tried to take Kyles weapon from him. That got him shot dead. The fact that Rittenhouse did not have any major injuries wasn't because Huber didn't try to injure or incapacitate Rittenhouse.

too bad he did not bring a fucking assault weapon to a protest, especially being 17 years old and such a chickenshit. no one asked him to be vigilante, he did not even live there. he was the cause of all the deaths and injuries, he alone. no weapon, no one hurt or killed.
