It does matter if there is a sudden and dramatic change in the proportion of ballots each candidate is getting. Those things don't happen without a clear reason. That's what I pointed out.

I want every legal ballot counted too. What I don't want is a voting season lasting a month or more. Election day is supposed to mean something. Counting votes for weeks, just like voting for weeks, shouldn't be the case--EVER!

You must be new to American elections. Always there are sudden and dramatic changes. They happen when large voting district blocks of votes come in from the cities favoring Democrats and there is nothing suspicious about it. Been that way forever.

Wrong. I don't want mail-in elections at all. If you can't take the time to get off your dead lazy ass and go and vote, then we probably don't need you voting at all. I don't want election seasons that last a month or more either. That is just idiotic. I want in-person elections, with proper ID, voter rolls continuously updated to eliminate those no longer eligible to vote, and an election DAY like virtually every nation on the planet does.

The US has become an outlier. Most nations have banned most or all mail-in balloting due to concerns about fraud. Virtually all nations require voter ID. In fact, mail-in elections and no voter ID are widely seen as sources of corruption and fraud in elections.

Or collected and filled out by a partisan ballot harvester, or haven't been gone through to eliminate those the person looking at them thinks voted the wrong way, or were filled out by someone other than the purported voter...
