I've seen the video, and in the hours before, Rittenhouse had every chance to remove himself from Kenosha, but didn't.

all of that is irrelevant to the law...........

regardless, the jury will be the ones deciding if he truly felt threatened and in fear of his life............and by the accounting of the video shown here, I would say that he did.

Rittenhouse told the court he felt threatened, which is why he fired into the crowd.

Seems like the same to me...

Each case should be tried on it's own merits. I doubt Kyle will be going away for murder.

casey anthony was found not guilty......because the prosecutor overcharged and then couldn't provide the evidence needed to support that charge

Agreed politics overcharged Zimmerman, a main reason why the prosecution lost. IMO, Kyle isn't being overcharged. Time will tell.

time will tell indeed...........my personal opinion is that there are all these charges to try and coerce a plea bargain with rittenhouse...........it's a popular tactic of prosecutors

not that I travel much, but when I do, I do exactly that. i've open carried in Louisiana, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.........all with little or no issue. The one time the cops did come up to me, the only thing they did, and could do, was ask me what i'm doing and where was I going.........

Not the law in Wisconsin or Illinois, which are the two states in question here.

Is it? Because Rittenhouse's very presence with the weapon in WI was a violation of the law because he wasn't allowed to legally carry that weapon in Kenosha.

So he starts his defense as an admitted criminal.

So what happened prior to his mass shooting is relevant, specifically the fact that he was there illegally.

So that invalidates any self-defense because Kyle has already admitted to being a lawbreaker the moment he crossed the border into Wisconsin.

It is legal to carry a gun. It is unconstitutional to ban any weapon.

that is only your opinion......because as you and others have said before, someone who is retreating, especially headed towards the cops, is not a threat to be neutralized.
