I don't think anyone feels that the tide has changed. They'll go right back to obstructing everything that they can. This one issue was a political third rail. Biden was pretty slick campaigning for new roads and bridges last month...in Red states.

Republicans simply checked the polling. The Lincoln Project is waiting in the wings to advertise the 'No' votes from Republicans, when they went home and bragged about bringing home the bacon. They had to weigh the benefits of following McConnell off the cliff, or act like adults.


They'll be voting 'no' on virtually everything from now on.
