Why won't Trump supporters take the Trump vaccine?

isn't it true that the death rate from covid is now less than a tenth of one percent?.......demographic groups like millennials, blacks and Hispanics are refusing vaccinations just as much as conservatives.......why pretend it isn't simply a matter of personal choice.......if you get vaccinated you personally are not at risk......

1. It is a matter of personal choice, and you choose to be irresponsible and increase spread, mutation, transmission and death.
2. If all people were responsible and took the vaccine then we could eradicate this disease and never have to take any vaccines.
3. Small children are as yet ineligible for a vaccine so people who are eligible and choose not to increase risk on the toddler and infant set who can't get it.. See 1, above.
4. Rights come with responsibilities. If you exercise your choice to be irresponsible, we can reduce the harm you can cause by excluding you from group indoor activity, just as with second hand smoke.

Incorrect. Vaxers come up with all kinds of bogus claims about mercury/abortions/autism.

I'm simply stating what every scientist says...the flu shot isn't effective in most cases, but it doesn't hurt to try.

True. They also use the "I don't need it, I'm healthy" argument like you. ;) Remember Typhoid Mary? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3959940/

Nevermind that you could be infected and spreading the flu without showing symptoms. No one will ever know if your actions killed anyone just like anti-vaxxers are inadvertently killing Americans. Life is funny. LOL

How Flu Spreads

Person to Person
People with flu can spread it to others up to about 6 feet away. Most experts think that flu viruses spread mainly by droplets made when people with flu cough, sneeze or talk. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Less often, a person might get flu by touching a surface or object that has flu virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes.

When Flu Spreads
People with flu are most contagious in the first three to four days after their illness begins. Most healthy adults may be able to infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms develop and up to 5 to 7 days after becoming sick. Children and some people with weakened immune systems may pass the virus for longer than 7 days.

Symptoms can begin about 2 days (but can range from 1 to 4 days) after the virus enters the body. That means that you may be able to pass on the flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick. Some people can be infected with the flu virus but have no symptoms. During this time, those people may still spread the virus to others.

Period of Contagiousness
You may be able to pass on flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick.

  • People with flu are most contagious in the first 3-4 days after their illness begins.
  • Some otherwise healthy adults may be able to infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms develop and up to 5 to 7 days after becoming sick.
  • Some people, especially young children and people with weakened immune systems, might be able to infect others with flu viruses for an even longer time.

There were 28,000 new cases in the US yesterday, and over 300 deaths. If you are unvaccinated, you are contributing to the deaths of hundreds of your fellow Americans. Happy now?

I would add that vaxers strongly urge others to avoid getting the shots. I already told you that I don't judge anyone who takes the annual flu shot. I don't need it, so why waste taxpayer money?

Despite what you hear, it isn't 'free'.

That's what many anti-vaxxers say. Not all of them are urging others to not get shots as you claim. Many simply feel, like you, that they are healthy and don't need it.

Reason 2: Covid-19 isn’t seen as a threat
Even after the past year, some Americans still don’t see the coronavirus as a serious threat. Maybe they’re young, seeing that the virus isn’t as deadly for them as it is for older groups.

Flu kills about 60,000 Americans every year.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/index.html
CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010.

He lied three times in a single post. It's remarkable.

The mortality rate for the Delta variant is not yet known. Since most elderly are already vaccinated, the disease is now primarily hitting people under 40 who are less likely to die, but the mortality rate is still not known, and will vary among groups. However, this ridiculous claim is being widely circulated in the right wing echo chamber. Less than .01 is total bullshit. What we do know is the 7 day average for deaths in the US has ticked up to 244, and is rising. The daily case rate is also rising RAPIDLY. It has doubled in the last two weeks.

Hispanics, blacks and millenials ALL have a higher vaccination rate than Republicans. 60% of blacks, 63% of Hispanics, and 55% of those age 18-29 have been vaccinated. Only 52% of Republicans have been vaccinated. So that statement is a lie.

https://www.kff.org/coronavirus-covid-19/dashboard/kff-covid-19-vaccine-monitor-dashboard/

Finally, while you are less at risk of contracting coronavirus, and even less likely to be hospitalized if you are vaccinated, there is no guarantee that a) you can't be an asymptomatic carrier and spread the disease to your kids, 30% of whom have long term effects if they get Covid, and b) that there won't be a variant that is vaccine resistant. That is now TWICE as likely to happen as it was two weeks ago.

PMP is a knuckledragging moron. Enough saiud.

It will not be long now before businesses will require proof of vaccination. Things are out of hand, and no business wants to be labeled as a superspreader. But we're right back there now. I hope it happens soon. I've enjoyed the last couple of months, but I think we are going back in lockdown in the very near future. Thanks, Trumptards. We owe you.

Wow, this is too much stupid so early in the morning.

I guess this massive outbreak of Covid is a joke to some. I doubt it's a joke to the people that are dying. Lionfish is a true scumbag troll. He manages to joke about death and make fun of transgenders in a single post. What an asshole.

Wow, this is too much stupid so early in the morning.

"Stupid is as stupid does"

One thing the Democrats can never do no matter how they try is to raise the IQ of idiots, morons and imbeciles. What they should do and don't is to upgrade mental health care and the legislation necessary to make it work while remaining Constitutional.

Consider that it's not illegal to be low IQ or insane. It's only illegal to be a harm to oneself or others.

Trump says: “For all of those finally realizing what a great job we did with respect to the pandemic, including rapidly filling the cupboards that were left “bare” by the previous administration, in both the Federal Government and States, please also remember that it was the Trump Administration that produced the vaccine in less than 9 months—many years ahead of anticipated schedule. Biden and his group just used our plan of distribution, which had started long before he took office. Without the vaccine, the entire World would have ended up like it was in 1917, the Spanish Flu, where as many as 100 million people died. While we get no credit for this from the Fake News Media, the people know—that’s why I got 75 million votes!”
The Trump Admin did not produce the inoculations. They, rather, removed government red tape to allow for the inoculations to be produced much faster than they otherwise could've been produced.

But most Trump supporters are not getting Trump's vaccine.
It is not Trump's inoculation; Trump did not manufacture it.

A lot of Trump supporters are choosing to get inoculated, believe it or not. I know some of them personally. As for myself (a Trump supporter), I absolutely refuse to get inoculated.

Can we assume from this that Trump supporters do not trust Donald Trump?
No, as that would be piss poor logic. Also, remember that I don't consider Trump to be God... Trump is a fallible human being like the rest of us.

Why else would they turn down Trump's vaccine?
It is not Trump's inoculation; Trump did not manufacture it.

There are several good reasons to turn down the inoculation, including but not limited to:

[1] The hurried nature of the development of it
[2] The not-fully-tested nature of it
[3] The many reports of side effects being worse than just getting COVID
[4] The belief many have that they already had COVID and are already immune
[5] The belief many have that they are free individuals (with individual rights and liberties endowed by their Creator) and can make their own healthcare decisions. (In leftist lingo, "my body my choice")
[6] The fact that pretty much everything that the media has banged the drums on regarding COVID has been blatant lies/manipulations/disinformation.
[7] Because COVID is a scam and nobody has died from it; no inoculation is needed.
