Entire Portland Police Rapid Response Team Resigns

I know you would appreciate being shoved from the back down to then ground then getting your face hit hard by a baton.

;)

Bitch, I've had popo do worse than that and been happy as fuck to walk right out of their jurisdiction with my elbow hurtin' and a roadrashed face.

I didn't go to jail. He better hope I never see him again, but that's a different story.

I got curbslammed after being handcuffed. Boy.

That was a bad cop, but if I stuck around to tell his supervisor, I was going to jail.

I walked to where they couldn't mess with me and a buddy picked me up. They set "a trap" around my vehicle for the next day.

They were watching it from a block away in 2 places.

I played it slick..key in hand..had buddy drop me off right by the driver door. Bailed out, cranked it and started moving.

I was around the block before they saw it was gone. Doubt they saw which way I went.

Then they set up a roadblock up the road and I saw it.

I know them streets, I cut over to a better way to get home wayyy before the roadblock, and was gone!

Sometimes timing is important. :D

Par for the course:

Seattle police officer Alexandra Harris was struck and killed on I-5 early Sunday while off-duty, after stopping to assist in an accident. But despite her death being declared by SPD as “in the line of duty,” flags at city hall have yet to be lowered to half-staff, according to SPOG President Mike Solan.

“I’m trying to get flags lowered to half staff, and that is proving to be a battle,” he told KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson Show. “I’m not sure why.”

According to Solan, officials at city hall told him that “they’re still working on it,” although given that it’s now been three days since Harris’ death, he believes that lowering the city’s flags is already long overdue.

“In my view, it doesn’t take long to throw an email out there, and people go out to the flag pole and just lower it half-staff,” he noted.

Thanks for the proof that the OP is delusional.

This journalist (Antifa?) was moving away, when she was shoved to the ground and then struck in the face. 4th degree assault probably carries 7 lashes with a wet noodle.

It's good that the entire band of rogue cops quit. Real cops can take their places.

Even the police dept. states that they are changing their training to avoid incidents like that one.

Now they can hire a whole new department and weed out the masochists. That would make everything much better. Many years ago police did not brutalize and injure people like they do now. I am sure they can find police to transfer who do not want to be part of that abuse.
Agree. However, it has been going on for many years.

Back then, everyone didn't have video capability sitting in their pocket. Rogue cops quite literally got away with murder.

If you dont believe that the Revolution is trying to make sure that they can control policing nationally from Washington take note of how they are trying to do the exact same thing with voting, which is clearly not Constitutional, though expecting SCOTUS to say so is very stupid based upon the last many decades of shoddy work that they have put in and as well the Revolutions constant threats to blow up SCOTUS. This is a program to run over the Red States ability to resist the Revolution, and they have proven ready to destroy huge D cities by unleashing crime to get it done.

It is all about power, not you, they dont care about you.

The police were clearing the area and she--thinking wrongly that "journalists" were somehow exempt--didn't get away from the cops. We don't know if there was any verbal interaction either. This is one of those situations like the cops in Buffalo knocking that old man to the ground that looks bad to the untrained eye but isn't what it appears when you understand the full thinking and interaction of all parties.

It wouldn't have happened if she'd stayed away from the cops. Given that Portland is having nightly riots I'd say the police are likely to have become jaded to the whole thing where they see anyone not staying away from them as a threat. I think you'd be that way too after many nights of what's going on there.

As for worry, if they see this guy's actions as part of their practice and training, then they should be worried that they're next. We're doing what we trained to do and now we're getting arrested for it...
Sure. We don't know what transpired before the video. However, she was already retreating when he assaulted her. You can't shoot someone in the back and claim self defense. He had no cause to assault her. They achieved their goal. She was retreating.

Go straight to the source, dumbass.

accused of fourth-degree assault stemming from a baton strike against a protester last summer.

Teri Jacobs shared that in a letter to the mayor this week. Video, shared with KATU by Full Rev Media, showed an officer pushing her to the ground before hitting her on the head with his baton. The director of the Independent Police Review confirmed his office is reviewing the incident.

"I’m doing my very best to get to the sidewalk, and it feels like it doesn’t matter where I am, what I do, these police officers are going to run me over, ram into me,” Jacobs said of the August incident.

Stop trolling threads, Turd Eater.
The city settled with her for $50k.

and one would buy that if not for all the voter suppression done by the GOP prior to this OP center event. Add to that the gutting of Civil Rights bills, cops getting off for manslaughter of innocent civilians (or those guilty of misdemeanors), and yeah, it's going to hit the fan.

That's her view. Watch the video carefully. She's taking photos with a smart phone. When the officer approaches, she turns to run. That's too little, too late. You've failed to clear the area so the officer knocks her down and then hits her again as she spins around possibly trying to get up. From his perspective, I'd say he sees her as not following police orders. Running after the cops come towards you is too late. It's like an officer approaches you. You recognize the officer has singled you out for something so you run. That gives the officer reason to chase you now because you fled after recognizing he was coming for you.
It doesn't matter if you're some punk on the street, or a "journalist" at a riot. She waited too long to get the hell away from the cops.
So you agree Babbitt wasn't murdered?

"Diabolical" is a word that shows up more and more often now in my circle as the Regressive Left is being discussed.

"regressive left" sounds like another neologism from the Limbaugh/Levin/Coulter/Dr. Laura set

Entire Portland Police Rapid Response Team Resigns After Officer Indicted for Breaking Up Antifa Riot

Worth noting that they did not resign. The threatened to resign, but then realized that they would lose their benefits if they resigned, and it would be tough to find a new job. They requested transfers out of the Rapid Response Team, which was in the process of being disbanded anyway. By all accounts, it had gone completely off the rails.
