UFO's.....old hat, new interests.

Occam's Razor prevails followed by Hanlon's Razor.

Aside from "sightings", there is zero evidence of extraterrestrial, extratemporal, supernatural or any other form of intelligent life beyond our own.

Our own existence projects the possibility

It’s clearly possible because we prove life can form in the vastness of all that exists

Agreed on possibility. Possibility is not fact as several on this thread are asserting. It's possible there are Lizard Lords left over from the age of dinosaurs living hidden beneath the oceans.....but it's highly unlikely. ;)

There are several theories on why Fermi's Paradox exists. All are theories with no supporting facts except for what you just stated: There's life on Earth and we can't find life anywhere else despite decades of searching.

The Fermi Paradox seeks to answer the question of where the aliens are. Given that our star and Earth are part of a young planetary system compared to the rest of the universe — and that interstellar travel might be fairly easy to achieve — the theory says that Earth should have been visited by aliens already.

As the story goes, Italian physicist Enrico Fermi, most famous for creating the first nuclear reactor, came up with the theory with a casual lunchtime remark in 1950. The implications, however, have had extraterrestrial researchers scratching their heads in the decades since.

"Fermi realized that any civilization with a modest amount of rocket technology and an immodest amount of imperial incentive could rapidly colonize the entire galaxy," the Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) Institute in Mountain View, California, said on its website. "Within ten million years, every star system could be brought under the wing of empire. Ten million years may sound long, but in fact it's quite short compared with the age of the galaxy, which is roughly ten thousand million years. Colonization of the Milky Way should be a quick exercise."

Lots of people have seen lots of unexplained things.

Seeing something that the mind is not able to interpret is not proof of a Cretaceous species of dinosaur living in Loch Ness, anymore than it is proof of interstellar spacecraft piloted by aliens.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

I did not say the only possible explanation is experimental aircraft. In fact I do not think we can chalk up UFOs to one single explanation. I think these hypotheses are also on the table: optical distortion, the human mind misinterpreting optical sensory data, meteorites, as-yet-unknown natural phenomena, drones, experimental aircraft, hoaxes, misidentification, etc.

I do not 100 percent rule out anything, but the claim that space aliens are piloting extraterrestrial spacecraft around our planet on a consistent basis is an extraordinary claim which requires extraordinary proof.

Good point about Nessie. She's been seen for about 90 years. Same amount of evidence as space aliens.

And that matter matters dude

Our own existence proves life can form in this vastness

Someone was controlling that thing I saw

What do you surmise it was?
You're assuming. It's called anthropomorphization; to put human, or in this case intelligent, traits on an object without evidence.

Let's assume for a minute that you saw a space alien. Are you seriously going to assert that all of the world's major governments, military and science institutions are working together to cover it up?

Why? To what purpose?

What mankind has done so far is about equal to examining a bucket full of sand in the gobi dude

I wouldn’t be too quick to announce all of existence consists merely of us

People imagine things

I really wanted Nessie to be true, and there is a lot of eyewitness testimony of weird things in the Loch, but I cannot ignore that the evidence just doesn't amount to a pleiseosaur living in the lake

It was not a natural object of earth

Just like a plane fits the same parameters

It would be awesome for science huh

We could learn so much

We have found live ancient creatures before

Maybe Bigfoot was flying the craft??? Ever thought of THAT ? Hmmmmm?? Where do you think they got the idea for Chewbacca in Star Wars?

Compared to what? The dinosaurs?

Agreed. All I'm saying is that there is zero evidence of extraterrestrial life. Funny lights are not evidence.

Notice only the wackadoodles are asserting that such life exists despite a complete lack of supporting facts.

If life does exist elsewhere we are the Unknown life
