I heard that charge leveled at the Obamas during the campaign. The RW talking point was that they were beneficiaries of affirmative action, although nobody offered any proof to back it up.

What's your proof that Sotomayor got the better break because of her race and gender?

do you think obama considered sotomayor because she is hispanic, not saying the sole reason, but do you believe obama picked sotomayor, in part because she is hispanic?

I do not like the fact that the firefighters who took the test and passed were denied their promotions due to their race.

have you seen anything that shows the test was somehow racially biased?

I guess what I want to know is how you think Sotomayor misapplied the law, not why you dislike the outcome of the case.

She chose to dismiss the case in spite of obvious evidence of racial bias. She is evidently unable to process basic facts, so she either has a brain malfunction, is moron, or has a racist political agenda and is purposefully ignoring relevant facts in the case. So either way, this one case pretty much makes her unable to be on the SCROTUM.
 
I wonder if people like Dungheap and BAC realize how much they're making people question this administration even more with their irrational cheerleading of this obvious bigot, and their steadfast psychopathic denial of her obvious judicial activist attitudes and blatantly racist decisions. Yes, I really do wonder.

She fits the mold of Obama politics.

However, I do applaud her decision in the CT firefighters case.

Obviously the tests have little to nothing to do with performance. The decision was in the best interests of the city .. in my opinion.

Why do you wonder about something so easily quantified?

From all indications, the American people seem quite happy with Obama .. AND they support his nomination .. AND the citizens of CT support the decision.

You can squeeze until your eyes bleed but that won't change any opinions, won't make Americans hate Obama, won't stop Sotomayor from becoming a Supreme Court judge.

Squeeze on .. :0)
