BTW....The mandates dont mean jack shit anymore in most states. They are not being followed by a large and GROWING sector of the population and they certainly arent being enforced. Governors can put on all the mandates they want to,....the people have spoken and when they did it was to tell Governors to GO FUCK THEMSELVES! Not a thing the Governors can do about it either except sit there and suck on it. If there was...they would have done it already.

First off, I enjoy my work, so why would I want to quit doing it. I will probably move into more enjoyable version of my work. Also, I have seen people who retire, and then lose their money. Depending on money from the government does not seem fun. And if you have not worked for a decade, it is difficult to get back into it.
Right now I have enough money to retire, but it would be tough with kids in private school. When my kids no longer need my money for tuition, I start having too much money.
One thing I do not like about my current main job is that stupid rules require me to actually go to one of their offices to work. I would much rather work anywhere I wish. But, I also feel this job is a service to a society that has given me so much. I have been blessed, and continue to be blessed. Saying I am giving back is a little disingenuous, because they are paying me handsomely. But, I am not easily replaceable, so do not feel I can really leave.
Anyway, it is a minor annoyance having to physically go to work. What is not to love about a job where I have no supervisor, good pay, and all my proposals for what I am going to do are approved without being read.
I hope no one works scrubbing pans for 12 hours, until 6:00 in the morning. There probably are people out there who that is their life, but we live in the 21st century, and it should not be.
