Virginia cops pepper-sprayed Black and Latino Army officer

Over his career, Chauvin had 18 complaints and 2 reprimands.

OOOOOOO...a "reprimand"...what was that, suspension with pay? Yeah, how terrible that he got to sit at home for two weeks and still get paid for it.

And not a single "good cop" did anything about it.

I don’t know what the reprimands entailed. What it does mean is that those two occasions were serious enough for something to go into his file.

Shutting down your mind to the inescapable fact that we Must judge each individual for their individual actions and never throw any individual into the old rutabaga bag with racists and cat turds that are heading for the dumpster will give you losers warts dude

I guess I'm the only one who thinks collaborators are as bad as the malefactors they do nothing about.

Feel the love through the hate
We must be better than them
Fuck the racists

You're mistaking "justice" for "hate".

Mankind is better than them
We are the rainbow
We are even inventing new colors daily

They are mankind, they are not separate from it.

Mankind is flawed, and it's not healthy to pretend otherwise.

I can be happy that one person took action against a bad cop, but still feel dissatisfied by it as well.

Throw only trash away into the old rutabaga bag headed for the dumpster
Not aunt Sally’s step child
Who happens to be a cop who’s not the same color as you
Get your rutabaga straight

And on the other hand, without a gun, they can't get none
But don't let it be a black and a white one
'Cause they'll slam ya down to the street top
Black police showin' out for the white cop

How do I know what?

About the past complaints against Chauvin? Easy, because the judge wouldn't allow the prosecution to invoke those past complaints in this trial, but did allow the defense to dredge up Floyd's past.

And the "good cops" did nothing because even after those complaints Chauvin was still on the force, still putting knees on people's necks.

Chauvin has nothing to do with this.

The guy should have gotten out of his car when asked to. Not having a license plate is good reason to pull over and question if the car is stolen or legal. Or if nothing more, to notify the driver the plate was missing.

Bad cops move around just like pedo Priests, and both are protected by the very corrupt institutions that attracted and hired them in the first place.

Most people know Florida is more fucked up than a football bat.

Insurance companies will have something to say to cities who do this for the reasons mentioned in your link.

So it goes into his file...so what?

Clearly that means nothing since he's on video killing a guy.

So the "good cops" did nothing about him other than mark his "file", but those marks didn't disqualify him from being on the beat. So what good did they do?

Maybe you should shake your head right off your shoulders white boy. “Full negro” :palm: “plantation attitude” Why not just reach for the N word? Surely you use it.

There was far more in that video then just stop and questioning .. which somehow seems to escape you. Wonder why?

Bottom line .. HE GOT FIRED .. Which validates my thinking more than yours.

Brother BAC. I've tossed in my 2 cents worth. I think this is 'going political', so any type of reasonable and/or pragmatic conversation from here on out may be useless.
(you're right, I've only viewed the one Video)

No. How do you know how many good cops didn't report bad cops?

he had a temp paper tag on the rear window of his new vehicle

Chauvin has nothing to do with this.

I've been talking broadly about police corruption and abuse, so Chauvin fits perfectly within that.

The guy should have gotten out of his car when asked to.

No, the guy should not have been pulled over in the first place.

Not having a license plate is good reason to pull over and question if the car is stolen or legal.

No, it isn't. People drive new and used cars without plates all the time. In no case does that require pepper spray.

Or if nothing more, to notify the driver the plate was missing.

Which isn't what the pigs did, is it?

They didn't do that, did they?

We both saw the video, right?

OK, so you first thought that once a cop is fired, that's it, they can't get hired anymore because of ambiguous "insurance".

Turns out that is wrong...you were wrong there.

Now, you're trying to shift the goalposts to say "Oh, it's a FL problem".

So is NY also a FL problem? How about OR? How about WA? How about OH? How about MO? How about KS?

It would appear this isn't just a FL problem...

You are 100% full of shit.

Insurance companies will have something to say to cities who do this for the reasons mentioned in your link.

They haven't ever and they never will because Insurance companies know that the only people who end up paying settlements are the taxpayers, not the insurance companies, not the police themselves, not the police union. Taxpayers. You and me.

We are the ones who pay the settlements for bad cops who are defended by the PBA.

I think the PBA should have to pay those settlements, and I haven't seen a good case or argument as to why they shouldn't.
