Should Asians be allowed to carry a gun in NYC Chicago completely bans handguns

So should they be allowed to carry for protection?

Do u support them being able to protect themselves?

Modern urban centers generally require licensing of hand guns unlike rural areas.
That's because individual shootings are rampant in urban areas.

The Second Amendment makes gun ownership a right, but since hand guns are concealable and commonly used in violent crime, densely populated areas require registration...
not of long arms but of concealable handguns. It's intended for safety, not restriction of rights.

If you carry a handgun for personal protection, registration and licensing are not a problem.
If you carry a handgun to whack people, the fact that you can get arrested just for carrying an unregistered one is probably a good thing.

And if you live in deliverance country, carry whatever the fuck you want.
If I lived there and had to stay, I'd need the gun for suicide.

While that is your opinion, I would point out that someone living in NY has a snowballs chance in Hell of getting a license to carry a HG, even for very valid reasons, well unless you know the right people. Some gun laws can go too far and do not actually achieve the goal they were intended to.
 
Yeah, getting a gun in NY is difficult, in NYC, beyond difficult, and you don’t want to get caught with one, just ask Plaxico Burress, cost him two years of a promising NFL career

And for those of us for whom guns are a way of life, a source of relaxation and a hobby, not to mention used regularly for hunting (even pistols and AR types) the difficulty of obtaining guns and ammo as it is in New York, California and other places is unacceptable. That’s why it’s such a big political issue with us.

only idiots believe just carrying a gun gives you a zone of safety. the bad guy gets to choose when, where and when. it doesn't really matter if you have a gun on you if the bad guy shoots you in the back without warning, or puts a gun to your head and demands your dough....in your house, it might help, but in public, generally, just more likely to give you a false sense of confidence.

I don't think that the citizens of Bald Knob need the same gun laws as New York City does.
Background checks seem reasonable, however.
If you have to wait three days, you might decide that capping your neighbor's ass because he woke you up with his leaf blower might not be entirely necessary.

Assault weapon bans seem reasonable as well.
Buy yourself a nice Weatherby MkV instead. They're beautiful and legal everywhere.

Wouldn’t be if those supporting guns took the time to actually read and comprehend actual gun legislation. Every State doesn’t have to have NY’s laws, but here is a an acceptable middle ground for a national policy

Personally, I could care less, allow each State to have their own laws, except for the transportation of guns across State lines, majority of guns in areas as NYC are imported from gun free States, the slaughter in Chicago isn’t done with guns originating in Chicago

it has that effect. minorities in urban centers usually are priced out of license and registration fees. some might even say that since these laws don't deter criminals, pricing minorities out of exercising those rights is the actual intent

Plus the fact just having a gun in your home greatly increases your chances of getting shot by a gun

it's amazing that dozens of cops aren't killed or robbed on a daily basis, since they carry guns
