The columnist feels it's someone in the family Meghan and Harry roasted with Oprah's contrivance. In my opinion Meghan and Harry fared the worst, she worse than him, or maybe Oprah was worse for setting the whole ugly thing up. ("WHAT?," she exclaimed as if Meghan's telling of the incident was almost too shocking to believe). What was the family supposed to do, pretend the child's skin color was no more to be thought of than the color of its eyes? A black child making its appearance as a member of the Royal Family wouldn't be noticed? Please. If there is nothing wrong or shameful about clear racial differences there's nothing wrong with acknowledging their existence. It's obviously going to happen and it's natural. Pretending otherwise is calculated phoniness.

I'm Australian, and I'm proud to say that Queen Elizabeth II, is our Head of State. The Queen and Prince Phillip have , over 70 years, done a tremendous amount of good work both for the people of British and those of the other member states of the Commonwealth. President Trump said he absoltely admired the Queen - that she was "a magnificent Lady". So there is one high -profile American who is an unabashed admirer of the English monarchy !!


Oh, and let's compare the Queen to YOUR American Head of state - "Sleepy" Joe Biden - a dribbling, demented buffoon and sexual deviant who is lauded as "The Leader of the Free World" - what a fucking joke ! (A joke that's not really funny at all, BTW). The world is looking at America and thinking are the Yanks really that fucking stupid they they voted in a demented zombie, a hair- sniffing, sexual pervert and criminal to run their country?

I wish that we could get the Megan and Harry problems sorted out so that we can start worrying about our own problems.
Maybe those kids will help us out after we get them settled.

I used to love Australian football when it was on ESPN back in the eighties and nineties.
The goal judges with the hats had to be the coolest officials in all of sports.
They had something that looked a little like a rugby ball, and seemed to do whatever the hell they wanted to do with it.
Australian rules apparently meant no rules at all.

Then they took it off the air and I had to waste two decades watching Tom Brady instead.
Bummer.

Aussie Rules does have "rules", but not that many. It's a pretty free-flowing, wild and rough game. It's a "hard man's" game, if you play it you're bound to take some big hits. But, I agree, it's fun to watch.(NB: the ball is pretty much the same as a rugby ball).

Hey, we swap Presidents every four years, it's called 'Democracy'.

A long time ago, I was hitchhiking on the only East-West highway Canada had, and I met this school girl waiting at a Bus Stop out in farm country. I asked her why they had the Queen's picture on their Money. I said something like "She's the Queen of England, right?, not the Queen of Canada". She burst into tears and said "She's our Queen and we love her!" Then she ran off.
:) I was expecting a bunch of Farmers were going to arrive with Pitchforks ... and possibly do me harm. :(

Anyway, as an American, I find it amusing how wrapped up British-types are so wrapped up in the Monarchy. Seems a bit ... archaic.
 
Every time that I'm thinking of taking a jab at the UK, I remember that they have a National Health Service so I shut the fuck up.
